    Or the old would be completely removed like classic zones were in Cata? And just have the heritages unlock in a different way?

    It’s possible, but it feels like a waste to remove the quests. But it would be cool if you could just talk to your faction leader and unlock the goodies.

    I have a super optimistic and a super pessimistic idea for the stable areas.

    Good: It’s going to be some kind of quest turn in for “rebuilding” the city ala XIV. Doesn’t explain the stable theme though.

    Bad: A place where Blizzard will show off the newest cash shop mount.

    In regards to "adding content to old world means no revamp", keep in mind the new revamped human building assets match the geometry of the currently used buildings almost perfectly. That implies that whatever they're for, they don't want to mess around with changing too many objects/NPC spawns that are inside the current buildings when updating it.

    So Morgan Day's interview practically confirms 10.0 for 2023. FYI, he said that a season should last between 6-8 months. So that will put 10.0 in february 2023 in a best case scenario.

    Honestly I am glad that they are aiming for 2023, they have a lot of things to get right.

    Kinda curious why peeps are starting to think 10.0 will be a revamp this time.

    We're so close to the 20th Anniversary of the game, and hopefully they could launch their 10th expansion during Q4 2024 to line up with that.

    My thinking is, if a revamp doesn't happen in 2024/Anniversary it's probably never happening, so I don't see why they'd rush it in 2 years early, before the proper chance to rejuvenate for a 20 year run and make it for 10.0 instead of 11.0.

    Why wouldn't they bide their time on such a massive project -one more time?- We'd all just accept a basic expansion for 10.0 anyway, surely they know that.

    Been team Revamp for ages, but I can't see how or why hopes are up it's for 10.0. Literally just because of the number "10?"
    Even though it's the 9th expack.

    It's just two more years, and we'll probably get a little EmeraldDream/Elune/Dragons to fill that time along with whatever the main theme is.

    I'm seeing this 9.2.5 datamining as more like little pinches of "revamp-like" content that will moreso be hinting/setting up 11.0 in the background while we go do 10.0.

    Honestly think 10.0 is a revamp because there are way too many faction and racial storylines set up in BFA and SL that another vacation expansion that ignores the continents would make zero sense.

    What do Turalyon and Calia have to do with Dragons? Why bother with the Horde council if you’re going to ignore the Horde story for not 2 but 4 years?

    SL as a filler expansion before a big expansion that directly follows BFA makes sense. Two filler expansions back to back do not make sense. BFA EVENTUALLY will have to be followed up on.

    World revamp with Lordaeron, Quel'thalas, and the Dragon Isles being endgame zones. Best of both worlds.

    I do wonder if they could just end up doing an asset swap. Just swap textures, world objects and doodads with higher rez versions. Honestly the true sore point will remain Quel'thalas. The Draenei areas are islands so they don't really create as much of an issue.
