So Morgan Day's interview practically confirms 10.0 for 2023. FYI, he said that a season should last between 6-8 months. So that will put 10.0 in february 2023 in a best case scenario.

Honestly I am glad that they are aiming for 2023, they have a lot of things to get right.

I don't think it needed much confirming tbh. WoW expansions usually release roughly a year after their announcement. I've been fully expecting 10.0 to come out around April 2023 the whole time.

Any sooner would probably be a disaster anyway. As you said, they need time to get things right. I'm personally hoping they go the Legion route of giving us a long Alpha/Beta with a lot of community involvement and frequent dev updates. But maybe that's huffing too much copium.

Turalyon, Alleria, Calia, Taelia, Voss, are all lined up to bat in the story, a northern EK revamp with a restored Lordaeron and Quel'thalas is the only setting that makes sense. Those are the areas that are the most in need of modernization, too.

The graveyard in Brill is actually not new. The only additions to the map are the rebuilt houses, the plague sinking into the ground and the fire dying down.

You have to wonder what the point is, unless it’s Operation Lordaeron or Darkfallen unlock scenario. It doesn’t seem that wild to encrypt it.

The map content itself probably isn't encrypted for that exact reason, not much reason to. All the VO and related DB2 entries are though, so it's probably story/dialog heavy.

Could it just be a Forsaken heritage instance? I kind of doubt it because of the complete lack of Nelf equivalent. Darkfallen for both races would fit the bill.

I finally watched T&E's video on it earlier and I honestly think Darkfallen being a new customisation unlock for NE and BE makes the most sense. You know, kind of like the Night Warrior eyes that Night Elves got.

Taliesin actually pointed more towards there being some sort of class-level cosmetic changes too (think Green Fire quest line, but for Hunters) but I don't really know if Blizzard would bother with that.

Of course I'm biased because I'm fan of this idea, but it really fits as Dark Ranger (hunter class skin) unlock questline that would be rewarded for pre-order (hence encrypted and in SL patch). Flight path could be some kind of mini-hub for them (similar to what allied races got).

ID wise, no clue honestly. Can't really tell. There was this NPC skin added in 9.2.5 which seems unreferenced at the minute but definitely seems to match Velonara's appearance elsewhere, which implies her showing up again.

World revamp with Lordaeron, Quel'thalas, and the Dragon Isles being endgame zones. Best of both worlds.

Druid isn’t my main class, but bear in mind that their “new stuff” isn’t as much as you’d think. Until they unlock the ability to gain all of the same faction forms for choice in transmog they’ll continue to have less when comparing other visual, visible aspects of a character like tier gear.

Glad you like it. And I mean we have had undead trolls and undead elves in the game since forever. A full undead faction would make a lot of sense. And they won't even have to work on the models that much.

Very true, though I'd hope they'd create a larger range of textures and options for them than is currently available. There's also undead/leper and that one vampire gnome too, but the latter's from Hearthstone. All races should have undead customization considering how much Azerothians love to kill each other and the rampant necromancy in the past.

I'm not exactly sure how difficult it is for them to do texture work in WoW and it's been a long ass time since I've done any. My last attempt at modding was Sims 4 and Sims 2. It'll probably take more time and likely look better if the artists hand paint them. Not sure how it works.

Hmm, I gotta disagree on that point. Imo all they have to do is add this as the heritage armor and it would be perfect:

During BfA there was an interview that confirmed that this will not be the Nelf heritage armor, but they said that they will try to give it to nelfs somehow (maybe like they added a blood elf paladin heritage set in 9.2.5...)

We still don't know what they will do with the Night Elf souls, in 9.1 Tyrande told us that Elune has plans for them.
