And it's one thing to design, print, and photograph the fake in a cubicle, if it was a fake, they went to the trouble of laminating the damn thing too. I think it's real.

That was fucking legendary. I wasn't there for the thread but I remember seeing it and being so awestuck. How could they have messed up like that?

Honestly was likely to blame on the production team which were largely outsourced from DirecTV at the time I believe

Damn, it doesn't convince me a dragon knight as a microclass. A dragonsworn with 3 specs is possible to create. You have 5 dragonflights with tons of abilities to get inspiration from.

I think 4 micro-classes seems unlikely from an art perspective for Blizzard. The past two expansions they gave us some BS excuse for not having class tier sets and now they suddenly are going to increase the amount of classes by 33%?

They look better covered up anyway. More room for cool armor designs!

This is the take. I love cheesecake as much as the next guy but Alex pushes it a bit silly and most of the Aspects deserve glow ups. Sylvanas pre-redesign in Legion was acceptable (and just as fine after no matter what neckbeards say).

I can't quite swallow:

Four single-specialization classes. That's a whole lot of extra balancing and work for such little payoff. Blizzard has also never added a class that didn't very strongly connect to the central theme. A new class is a huge box feature—I could never imagine Blizzard sacrificing that for as little as four pseudo-classes. It's a hype-killer.

Those are a dealbreaker for me, too. In particular, they go against the Blizzard design directive of every class being solo-capable. The Minstrel would be useless on his own.

Giving the Aspect new armor/robes/whatever to match their dragonflights would be so awesome.

I dont think it would happen this way but a Dragonsworn as a 4 spec class one spec for Red, Blue, Green and Bronze.

Then do a neutral race of Black dragons because Wrathion is sending us out to fix the divide between the Horde and Alliance since Anduin is out of commission and he feels he owes it to him.

Have the Black dragons tie into cross faction and give it lore weight not just a gameplay mechanic.

Ahhhhhh so each microclass belongs to a dragonflight. The focus is in story and gameplay...

Maybe Blizzard noticed that trying to balance all classes with a new subsystem was difficult (covenants)

Eh, Alex was one of those NPCs for whom I thought the skimpy armor make total sense, unlike say Sylvanas. One she doesn't fight in her mortal form, two she's a dragon and thus used to being naked anyway, and three the Aspect of Life being represented as a hot chick isn't thematically off.

Not like covering her up is a Bad Thing anyway, especially considering all the going-ons at Blizzard, but still.

When its just isolated and upfront like that it looks pretty legit to me. I could honestly see it as a Red themed box art.

I'm not sure if I buy it in terms of facial shape. Something about the art style doesn't seem right.
