If that were a new race we interact with, having one of them as a pet seems a bit messed up hahaha

I just want to remind people that it's important not to conflate things just because they share a name.

Not arguing for/against the validity of the leak in question, just pointing out that it happening to be called "Dragonflight" (a very straightforward name) could be simple coincidence, like the half a dozen or so random, completely incorrect leaks prior to Shadowlands also claiming the expansion was "Shadowlands". Like SL, Dragonflight is a basic term related to the thing everyone has been thinking is going to be next.

I’m anticipating it to be a baby Drakonid pet or something similar using the vulpera skeleton.

This got me thinking, those encrypted things that got hotfixed on Friday (2 pets, 2 mounts). Maybe it's 1 pet/1 mount per CE level? Heroic gets 2, Epic gets 4.

Also the mog. Probably similar to the quest from the Anima Wyrm.

From before Pandaria was actually an expansion yeah. This would be like giving us a pet Kul Tiran child.

Because Dark Rangers just arent enough for a full class. Look how rough DH was to make more than one spec. I wouldnt be surprised if the struggle to come up with a 3rd spec made them say fuck it lets just do one spec for more fantasy and options.

And if you wanna go meta with it single spec classes is what FFXIV does and it's super popular there so why not try it out.

I get that. What I meant is why would Minstrel and Chronomancer be mini-classes, but Dark Rangers and Necromancers just be class skins? They're both more popular than Minstrel and Chronomancer so shouldn't they be mini-classes instead of class skins? If Blizz doesn't have the imagination to make just one spec out of those two then I don't know what to say.

They're both more popular than Minstrel and Chronomancer so shouldn't they be mini-classes instead of class skins? If Blizz doesn't have the imagination to make just one spec out of those two then I don't know what to say.

I don't get the mini class thing, couldn't most of them function as additional specs to pre-existing classes

It's not that crazy if they're a more mascoty style race like Murlocs or the Bastion Stewards vs something like Pandaren or Nightborne.

Imagine you're the necromancer fan who has been waiting years for this and then your tier sets are all demon themed warlock stuff while the bard microclass gets their fancy class specific tier sets.
