Interesting thing post #2: Balor is a REAL LOCATION and not some OC thing.
https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Balor
Balor was a domain of the Kingdom of Azeroth located to the west of Stormwind. It was taken by the Old Horde during the First War, and held by the Stormreaver clan during the Second War.[1] Its current fate is unknown.
Looks like it is an island to the West of Stormwind, and Blizzard kept it out of Chronicle because they were unsure where it was, so it was on their mind.. That is a pretty deep cut for a random leak.
Very nice. Adds some credence to that leak, I think.
Tin foil theory time:
Go to 1:00 ish in the video.
The Vassal of Life disguises treachery.... maybe it was Alex who gave Ysera a corrupted void flower that she planted in the cave in the depths of the Emerald dream... I originally thought it was Valithra.
I have to credit my friend on discord but a long, long time ago when we were talking about Ilgy quotes he said "Beware the eyes of green" could've been green with envy.
So my thoughts are: Ysera is referred to as "Elune's pet". Alex has been through some real shit, she could be pissed that she's not taken care of like her sister.
Out of envy (eyes of green) she corrupts Ysera's domain, leading to her death.
ALSO I think she may be hiding corrupted eggs. Remember this quest?

I think Alex is protecting some extra corrupted eggs and doesn't want us to know about it. We go in there fucking up her flight (doubly so if you did the DK campaign) and stomping eggs and corrupted whelps....Shh! Step back! We can't let them see us!
What are you doing here? Who sent you?
<Eryna listens as you explain the twilight attack.>
Yes, we know. It's those damn stone troggs, nothing stops their digging! They dug far deeper and further than we thought possible.
What's more, when I really concentrate, I can feel the heartbeat of thousands of tiny creatures in there. We have no idea how many more eggs remain...
Since you're out here, one of them had these gems on them, take them.
Well.. .tehy are still her children
Maybe it was too much so she hid them.

I was talking about dragon hunting/taming Vrykul on the Dragon Isles, not the Army of the Light.
I fully expect us to be fighting old classic, non cosmic enemies in 10.0. With the bigger and more grand threat being Infinites, Chromatic and Twilight Dragons and possibly Xal'atath.
Imagine thinking anything other than Dragons.
Alex clearly states in the Deathwing raid that the twisted twilight drakes attacking them are her children no more. I don't see her doing a U-turn on this, and neither do I see Blizzard having another iconic female character butchered into a questionable villain. If anything, Alexstrasza will be an anti-Sylvanas
Actually, the big thing I don't like about Dragonflight text leak? Dalaran capital AGAIN.
Yes, it's lazy, so it's something they would do. But that's the stickler for me. Unless there is a revamp in which case it's not really THE capital city, just one of them.
I hope so. I don't remember the last time we've had a good female character in WoW's ensemble. Jaina was okay-ish up to a point but ultimately disappointed.
Blizzard seems to write most female characters as emotionally unstable. I don't know what the fuck is up with that but they should try to write some female characters that aren't crazy.
Well The titles refer to places, events or villains so far. And the title IS Dragonflight. So either the pattern is broken or we will have a few that need to be fought.
Come to think of it, we do that a lot. The blue under Malygos, the Black Flight before Wrathion took over, Ysera when she got corrupted, Nozdormu in his Murozond incarnation. The Red is the only one that wasn't the enemy...just yet.
If they wanted to bring back an old-school capital, they should revamp Shattrath and give it some jetpacks so it can fly to the Dragon Isles. Only half-joking as a revamped Shattrath could actually be kind of cool.
I wouldn't mind Dalaran for a third time since I loved Legion so much that it would probably trick my brain into thinking the expansion is good just because it has the same capital city. But in all seriousness... I want something new.
