There is a leak named Dragonflight and someone larping as a dev, but it's almost all bullshit, the only thing we know for sure is the name is Dragonflight and there is a potentially real image of it leaked.

Yeah I am aware of the trademarked name and the pictures.

But the Dragonflight leak was from February, two months ago. Guessing that name right is quite a task as Dragonflight just sounds terrible. Dragonflights (as there is more than one) would be the more plausible name for a fake leak, wouldn’t it?

People are willing to believe Blizzard planted a fake expansion name in their website, but they are not willing to believe a ex dev coming to MMOC forums?

AFAIK, the only thing close to it was Overwatch 2 stuff and dates. Something I'd be willing to say have changed.

I think the truth is more likely that both are leaks are fake that got something right as an overall general plot. But honestly, even when Blizzard does the expansion that players expect, it's generally not done in the way players expect them so I'd not expect "common fan guesses and theories" to hit the mark.

IIRC, someone on this thread admitted to making the leak up. This was around the same time another person came out and admitted the leading logo was their creation. I want to say this was a month or so ago.

Can you give us some insight into whether Blizzard artists know a lot of info about the inner workings of expansion details as well as if members of the art team spend their time creating fake leaks to mislead fans on mmoc?

We're mostly arguing whether the MMO-C leak with the same name is real or not. That and some people are pretending to be Blizzard devs as usual.

I have no doubt in my mind that Cata is.

He? hasn't done anything wrong in regards to leaking stuff though. I think he's just here to gauge hype and interest, as well as to drum some up.

I think he'll give us a big reveal after the announcement and then reappear later on for the next leak season under a different name.

There are only so many fake names you can make with Dragon in it, they were bound to guess the name eventually. The leak sounds incredibly fake and has a bunch of stuff against it, very similar to the Shadowlands leaks. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Would you all like to see a new type of dragonflight become an Aspect or something like that? Usually new dragonflights are villians but I'd like to see a new flight become part of the current Aspect/flights.

This. I'm looking forward to April 19th now, and if the leak is true I'll be super happy as the micro classes, the class skins, more order hall content aswell as housing sounds super awesome and game saving.

Also that Dave guy was super gringe to read, and if his posts are true well that's the opposite of the other leak - it would kill the game kekW.

Yeah, but that name is just so weird and random. Dragonflight? It just makes zero sense unless all of the Dragonflights unite in one single Dragonflight and that’s where the name comes from (Empire of Dragons, hello).

Outside of that the singular in this case just doesn’t make any sense. There are 5 + X Dragonflights, why would they name it with the singular form?
