Alexstrasza has been hiding her corrupted whelps from being destroyed. And I'm fairly certain she gave her sister Ysera a corrupted flower that she planted in the Emerald Dream, which gave us the Emerald Nightmare. (Exhibit A1 and A2)

We know of Nozdormu's fate as Murozond. We also know someone tried to kill Chromie during Legion. (Exhibit B)

That... does sound likely. It also ties with the "a cosmos divided" crap: uniting the flights and all mortal factions against the Void or whatever.

Imagine having Void as a threat and not introducing a class that uses Void when only one spec of Priest uses it. But in all honesty, I don't expect the threat to be Void-related since Zovaal said "cosmos divided", he meant the cosmic forces themselves need to unite. If anything, it implies that the Void needs to be part of the unification.

I think it heavily depends on how divergent the new skin is visually. Changing a Paladin to a Sunwalker would probably offer minimal new flavour. It would change the name of some spells and maybe warm the sfx a bit. Really giving them a totem maul transmog would be far more effective (there are at least a few paladin mogs that work for sunwalkers already, primarily the SoO one). But changing a warlock to necromancer? Completely changing all your pets and going from fire to frost will very much change how your class feels (especially for something like Demo).
Another thing of interest would be talents though. I insist that the most important part of class design that they keep missing the mark on is talent viability; there are multiple specs in the game that have no reason to EVER change their talents in PvE. Make multiple setups viable in the same spec and you might have a character with two demo locks only one his locks he plays with Demons and focuses on Demonic Tyrant while e.g. the other is a Necromancer and focuses with the Necro equivalent of Nether Portal.

I hadn't even thought about talents, but that could make for a very interesting adjustment to a class were they to go that direction. A Demo Warlock becoming a Necromancer (while it might not fit with the feel of the class) could be interesting, but give them a talent like DK's Army of the Dead (which would fit well) with a couple other rotational talents & you've largely changed the feel of the class with minimal effort. That could be a ton of fun!

The fact that they are interrupting the cosmic arc in order to introduce Dragons does show that Blizz bends to the community's whims to some extent. Unless the Dragons become part of the cosmic lore which is another new perspective altogether.

As a priest who only plays Shadowpriest, I hope I had a dedicated class instead of being part of the predominantly healer class that uses the opposite element. As I said multiple times before, it's a bummer that the Light gets Paladin on top of whatever Priest is using, while the Void is only that one Priest spec with no further representation.

Thank you. A lot of people ignore this and say Void Lords or some shit. But the Void, Death and Fel are all parts of the cosmos and whatever scared Zovaal is external to the cosmos. Something else.

Yes there is this seventh force but it also sounds like any of the other forces could do this.

The Void Lords got misunderstood as the biggest bad because initially they were before Chronicle got relegated to being Watsonian.

That being said, in the very long run it might work out better. Saying there's six primal forces but that only one is the worst and most dangerous robs it of nuance and this way the narrative becomes more about coexisting of differing ideologies against something more explicitly existential. Now you can explain it that SARGERAS just feared the Void most the same way that the Void feared seemingly Death most from the Windrunner comic and the whispers.
