Pretty sure a logo leak has never been true before SL either, so a first time for everything. Think SL had loads of leak firsts actually.

You are confusing on what im saying, i said they should stop treating the NPCs as main protagonists of the game, they are sidecharacters just like we are, they show up, to their thing and thats it. How many times do you see akama and tirion sucking up the story that spawn 3 expansions to a "grand finale"? Even thrall got tossed aside.

They keep focusing on the same characters as protagonists, this is bad, period, if you want make more night elf, make more characters, make then do somehing pos-teldrasil, worldbuilding over focusing on tyrande again, she got her time in shadowlands.

So it's not a complain about NPC taking the spotlight, it's a complaint that some (Sylvi) NPC's take too much spotlight. On this I agree. Because NPC's will always be in the forefront and we in the background. Technical and storytelling reasons.

That description of the cinematic and the Tower, the rainbow of dragon colors etc I could see some homage/ripoff of Stephen King Dark Tower iconography anything from minor nods to "beams" radiating out linked to each flight etc.

Just my two cents on this Tyrande subject... I also don't feel like the loss of Teldrassil has been properly addressed in-game. Yeah, sure, Tyrande got to choke Sylvanas for a bit and throw a temper tantrum, but that doesn't change the fact that Teldrassil is still in ruins and that needs to be addressed properly sooner or later.

They did right by Sylvanas (in terms of WoW writing) by giving her a redemption arc and a novel. Tyrande's side of the conflict has barely been touched upon at all imo.

Yeah, sure, Tyrande got to choke Sylvanas for a bit and throw a temper tantrum, but that doesn't change the fact that Teldrassil is still in ruins and that needs to be addressed properly sooner or later.

And people discrediting her crying for what was lost because she has been enraged past 2 expansions... have you never felt both? Profound anger followed by deep sadness? It could be a nice hommage to the NE to have them included in the cinematic

I kind of like the cinematic transcript. Focuses on rebuilding, and Azeroth, with a nice view of the Dragon Isles.

Only problems I have are these:

1. It's a bit weird to focus on the rebuilding of our beautiful home, Azeroth, only to then pivot to a supercharged mini-Azeroth in the sky that makes everything down below pale by comparison. That will sort of diminish the impact of seeing the lush Mount Hyjal and so on.

2. I think whoever probably faked it made the mistake of looking at that leaked art print and deciding that Alexstrasza would be the main character. I don't think that's certain at all. I think that if the prints were real, they're likely just one of five versions (each depicting a different Aspect). Wrathion is more likely to feature in the cinematic.

3. Is what Syegfryed mentioned before his weird Tyrande rant. After one view the leaker gave a detailed description of the entire trailer and could quote all the lines. A bit too much information. Also some parts weirdly line up with our speculations (Dragon isles flying, Dalaran landing back in place) after we already discussed it. These things are always fishy.

Yeah not many people know what it feels like to have your home burned down.

It can’t be helped, you learn to live with it according to victims. Severe trauma is like a loved one dying but that loved one is you.

EMDR, DBT, literally tons of evidence based interventions can help with trauma when a person feels ready to get help. :|

Hard to believe the cinematic leak when it’s giving us full lines broken up like that. Anyone who has done transcription before knows how crazy that would be to get with any sort of accuracy. I’d believe it more if they gave general themes as opposed to specific lines.

As someone who’s town recently had a massive fire with hundreds of homes burned, I can validate this. I was among the lucky ones to not lose my home & the trauma is still strongly there months later. Can’t even imagine how tough that was for those who did actually lose so much.

Link? Because I think you're misremembering. The only legit Shadowlands leaks were the image of Bolvar that was in the cinematic, the banner about Bastion mentioning "the noble Kyrian," and... I'm not sure if the name itself was leaked, or if people just guessed that as one of many.

Exactly. It's easy to become consumed by anger and thoughts of revenge, but once those emotions begin to fade, you have to consider that Tyrande still has a ruined home to return to. That's gotta be pretty depressing.

Pretty par on course for their treatment of her character.

She's gets almost no interactions with Vashj or Illidan despite being closely connected to those two characters.

There was that awful scenario in MoP where she gets schooled by Varian for being "too brash"

I won't even speak of Valsharah.

She's gets sidelined for Jaina in 8.2 when dealing with Azshara.

She's pretty much never given any satisfying conclusion in any of her writing. Although I do think she will inevitably be a central character in 10.0. With renewal and the green dragonflight and all.

It's like the adrenalin wearing off and you realize your muscles hurt like a bitch. With the anger gone you are left only with the pain of loss.

Yup, and also anger is a secondary emotion anyway. You're going to have another layer of reaction even after processing the rage. It's usually just internal hurt externalized.

Fuck that, tho. Visiting the afterlives is a fix amirite?
