This isn't a tribute story, this is something that they would never know.

    Better than nothing.
TBF, Dragon Isles location is right next to Lordaeron and Quel'thalas. So that's not hard to guess. Especially coupled with the Lordaeron shields and human updated buildings that predate the leaks.

Dragonmaw under Garrosh still had the demons chains and still did the same things they did under Nekrosh, case closed, read the book next time.

    What?

Is impossible that dragon isle where there, we literally ship from Stormwind to Northrend and nobody saw them near the coast?

Having some Lordaeron shields update, which werent even in the live build at launch of 9.2 ndr, doesnt really tell us that are there.

At best tells us that they revamped some Lordaeron stuff, and if we want to believe is a Lordaeron revamp which is the same stuff the leak suggested, but the leak itself said floating between Northrend and Broken Shore

Which seems more plausible since is closer to Wyrmrest Temple

Wouldn't be the first time something is hidden in plain sight somehow.

Uldum was hidden behind some sort of Titan shield, mists enshrouded Pandaria, and like Kul Tiras was right there but we never bothered until recently.

Multiple zones on a bunch of islands really isn't that hard to pull off without them being unnaturally large. Mostly because the actual continents in game are unnaturally tiny.

Kultiras was in the game way before and in the lore game wasnt a "myth" which is quite different.

So Pandaria was shrouded, ok plausible.

Dragon Isle are floating hence nobody can really find them by sailing.

Or people saw them, knew about them and just didn't have any reason to go there. Like Kul Tiras. Everybody knew where it was. They just didn't go there.

They've never been intended to be 1:1 "reality." From the outset, we've been told that we're only getting a representation of the "real" geography.

Assuming this is 90% similar to what blizzard will deliver

    1. How the fuck alliance ship never saw that during the Undercity siege?

    2. How didnt Jaina saw it neither?

Yeah, nothing is to scale. Not sure why people think the Dragon Isles couldn't be a "continent" for an expansion. There's still a lot of room left before Blizzard has to make them bigger than they are.

Didn’t the quest you get from island expeditions that first mentioned the dragon isles in game say that Wrathion was looking for them? In other words the location was unknown. Though I guess they could retcon that.

Kul Tiras, was a nation like Gilneas that still was doing commerce with Stormwind and other alliance cities.

Is not a MYTH "hey did you heard about the legendary land of Kul Tiras? Isnt a Legend?" Jaina be like °what????°

Dragon Isles were off the coast of Tirisfal in the early version of the map. They were later removed. And with any island they could decide to move them anywhere for game play purposes but if you were going to guess, near Lordaeron would be a safest bet at this point in time.

The shields were datamined along with Exile's Reach stuff.

Unknown can also mean that the location of the islands is known, but not what they are. So Wrathion would still have to search because they aren't mapped as "Dragon Isles" but just "dangerous place, don't go" or something.

Also wait why would Balor be up there? I went to look to remind myself of Balor (as I don't even remember it) and wowpedia says its supposed to be off the coast of Stormwind.

I know things change location from time to time, partly due to story reasons, but that's kind of a big move. And it was historically part of the Kingdom of Azeroth (aka Stormwind).

    1. Which map?

    2. those shields are not even in the game and exile reach is 2 years ago, at best the only dragon thing is that the Ogre Mage was trying to resurrect Undead Dragons.

    Here’s the quest text:

Hello, I was told to expect you. Kindly hand over the scale.

We will, of course, compensate you.

First in information. Have you heard of the Dragon Isles? Few have, and fewer have been there.

We have not found others of the master's kin... forthcoming in information.

Should you uncover anything further in your travels, we will be awaiting a visit, with payment in kind.

And second, in this Azerite you are seeking. Here, a hefty sum for your troubles.

    Until we meet again.
I guess it doesn’t exactly say the location is unknown, just that few have heard of them or been there.

Children absolutely grow up hearing tales of other people if the group they are apart of consists of a variety of ethnicities and races.
    Groups like *gasp* the Horde!

I'm sure if Billy'jin asks "What is that big white tower a bit into the forest?" some Troll, Tauren, Belf, etc. can jump in to fill the blanks.
Especially if those storytellers are travelers like Rexxar, who are bound to know quite a few things about the places they travel around.

    Or maybe because are floating?

Also he could have literally asked to : Sabellian or Ebyssian or even to the Aspects.
