Zorbrix took a day off of work today, so I don't know.

I had a feeling they were gonna do something today when he said not to break anything.

The problem is taht dyes don't really work for armor as intricate as the one in WoW. Realistically it would just be adding a red sheen on top of armor.
Contrasting colours and details would mostly be lost, and if you try to work around that by ensuring that each dye makes the armor set look good then it's just as much work as now, just with an unecessary level of complexity.

I don't know that it's due to the intricacies of the armor. Other games with dyes have similarly intricate armor, they just limit what can be dyed. But you do bring up a good point with how unnecessarily complex it would be for a team that goes out of their way to ensure a lot of transmog options are blocked by default.

Well it can be done, but as has been stated before, this requires specifically designing armor in such a way that dyes can be applied properly. And in the case of WoW this would most likely at best be a side grade, if not a downright downgrade given the many different contrasting colours armor sets have.

Though in thinking about it I guess it's possible to have a happy medium with the best if both worlds. The current recolours only applies to some elements like gems or glow effects, and dyes is applied to the "main" part of the armor.


Though that being said I still can't see it really working.

so i think an undocumented change today was they put in the pocopoc stuff that has been missing because i finally got a new color scheme after the first couple

They will have to update the Cata-era backgrounds eventually.

I imagine the next couple PTR updates will be similar until the expansion announcement. Gotta keep your cards close to your chest and all that.

Probably so, no real reason to push to much out more to PTR & risk spoiling more at this point. Though on or after the 19th, I suspect we'll see the flood gates open a bit more.

The HYPE is real! Only 2 more weeks! Let's hope for a BIG announcement with LOTS to talk about and, of course, to speculate on.

You know what's frustrating? The amount of HYPE we all felt when the Bolvar/Lich King still photo leaked ONE WEEK from Blizzcon 2019. Instead, he had very little to no relevance in the expansion overall. I REALLY hope they don't ruin another character(s) in the Dragonflight cinematic. Please be good!

If it's actually really promising, it's gonna be a painfully long wait to the expansion release sometime around Q1-Q2 of next year. There are already so many games and TV shows I'm waiting for right now and they're all mostly happening at the very end of 2022, so 10.0 would be the longest wait. Hopefully we get Wrath Classic before that to keep us busy.
