The Infinite dungeon/raid is a good idea. However we’ve kind of done all the original historic Warcraft events from them in previous expansions unless i’m missing a big one.

What if the Infinite are a patch and instead of an instance, its a zone like Zin’azshari? It would be a pretty funny revelation of what Azshara was talking about: “the true throne of power “ was her own thrown!

Neat, but doubtful that's what this team in particular is working on given that they seem to be hiring a dedicated UI designer for it and I doubt a dungeon randomizer would need that much UI development.

One option could be that the Dragon Isles winds up as 10x's version of Argus. A really big zone broken into several pieces, each with their own theme, and then a big raid somewhere in there. The rest might be a bunch of revamped zones being the focus, as well as a few new zones, like an underground zone, maybe an island zone here, possibly an Emerald Dream-y zone there, that sort of thing.

I could see the dragon Isles only launching with 1 or 2 zones. The rest is sealed off by ancient titan tech or something. We level to 60/70 in Lordaeron and Quel'thalas and then there's 1 or 2 max level zones for Dragon Isles. 2-3 more opening up throughout the expansion. I think that would be cool IMO.

I thought it was interesting the HS VA for Galakrond (He's also Denathrius) posted something back in 2021 about being excited for a future project. A lot people assumed it was Final Fantasy related because he said he's out of FF jokes. But later clarified it wasn't FF related and was actually the opposite.

The opposite part is interesting to me because what is the opposite of Final Fantasy?

Hm, so its obvious Galakrond plays some kind of role.

My bet is the main villains will be Galakrond, Chrommatus, Xal'atath, Moruzond, and Azshara.

Housing would be experimental for them as well as needing long term time investment from UI people.

I had the same thought but didn't want to bring it up out of fear of rehashing the same discussions over and over. Housing or some other sandbox/user-generated gameplay fits the bill as something that would need an experimental team with dedicated engineers and UI designers. It could still be something completely different though.

Very unlikely they'd consider that to be "experimental gameplay" and make a team dedicated to it.

It could be anything. I don't think this particular tweet is alluding to Housing though as I wouldn't really consider Housing to be "gameplay" but maybe that's just me.

Heck a moon is a small enough place that it can all be covered in one expansion. Only issue would be the curvature I wonder if it is even possible for the engine to simulate a sphere by having a self-contained plane (i.e. once you travel enough in one direction you warp at the opposite end of the plane.)

Azerite also makes people imagine myriad of possibilities realized which is a trait of the void.

That would be really cool. A large 7 or 8 zone continent/planet. The left most zone and right most zone connect to each other. You could fly straight forever. I think it would be awesome.

Alternatively, that's a line they were fed by the PR team to minimize their abandonment of Shadowlands (that happens to be similar to a truth spoken by their competition).

Yeah its all PR BS, but I think there's a thread of truth in it. In that the next expansion starts a new story and leaves all the old story from BFA and Shadowlands behind. Not so much pre BFA.

These are my personal bets. I have World Revamp and Class Skins half-marked because I think they'll be limited to Lordearon (and possibly Quel'Thalas) and probably be less like the subrace-esque system we expect and more like Allied Races in some way (see my previous concept of "prestige classes") respectively.
