Honestly, we don't need yet another female poster girl.

BfA was all about Sylvanas, Azshara and Jaina. Shadowlands was all about Sylvanas. I think Wrathion - maybe in tandem with Alexstrasza - would work way better than just another female lead. Wrathion's human model is the sickest of all the Dragons anyway.

Yeah his new model really suits his character, I hope we see a lot more with him than what we had before, which was more or less just a legendary quest giver.

In TBC the Sin'dorei joined the Horde, In WotLk the Silver Covenant are introduced as the main militant faction of the Alliance elves, their rivalry continues in Cataclysm at the gates of Zul'aman, and culminates in bloodshed at the Purge of Dalaran. But two events have changed everything.

The Return of Alleria Windrunner has changed everything, the legendary hero of Quel'Thalas and eldest sibling of the Windrunners, always looked up by her countrymen, she has charisma, popularity, and strength that Vereesa could never hope to match, giving rekindled hope to the Alliance elves.

The Rise of the Ren'dorei, the "Children of the Void" led by Magister Umbric, who were cast out and exiled, but turned defeat into victory by finding a source of great power. For the first time, we have a faction of Thalassian elves in the Alliance who have grown so much in numbers and strength as to become playable and encompassing many Quel'dorei scholars and Sin'dorei travellers. The Silver Covenant could never match the Ren'dorei in numbers, resources, and strength, which is why they were never made playable.

Now the storyline started all the way back in Classic will soon reach the culmination as the Alliance will march on Quel'Thalas and reclaim it for the Alliance, as it should have been done long ago, when Lor'themar Theron plotted to rejoin the Alliance.
Because fan bias.. basically most of the horde fanbase care about blood elves, so like to pretend void elves and high elves don't exist and in their faction bias, miss their intrinsic value to their part of the story. THe alliance fanbase is much smaller and a bit all of the place, maybe void elves being too new for most ot he newr fans to think of them faction minded?

If the name we got was something wild like "The Mongrel Horde" it might have led to a ton of new speculation, but we've already exhausted the dragon guesses.
Well WoW doesn't really use abstract titles. Catacylsm was perhaps the most ambiguos. Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor raise a lot of questions, but show an established setting clearly.

So what would you prefer? A male poster girl, or a female poster boy?

Jokes aside I have no problem with poster girls. Provided they change regularly. Sylvanas in the CGI trailer three times in a row was a bit too much.

The poster child for Shadowlands was Bolvar, not Sylvanas.

We have been grinding AP since Legion. Artifact Power, Azeryte Power, Anima Power. Next is Alexstrasza Power.

Hey, what if instead of a new weapon or trinket or something we get a pet dragon? Like instead of a dragon race or class, the "borrowed power" is a dragon that we level up and train across the isles? You pick a flight and go all how to train your dragon on them. At various stages the dragon increases in size. And as a max level reward you get them as a mount. I would prefer no borrowed power personally, but this would fit the setting and I could see as a followup of Zereth Mortis.

-Sylvanas' story is over, she won't return.
-Anduin didn't follow Sylvanas, the book talks about Nathanos. The quest "Stay and Listen" states that Anduin will not return to Stormwind. This does not mean he will rest in the shadowlands, this is not a place to rest, his arc has not begun yet, he was a foil for Sylvanas in the shadowlands.

Hopefully he is going back to Pandaria.

How are the two in any way similar? Is it just because the acquisition of Azerite and Anima is similar? That makes as much sense as claiming PvP is the same as battle pets dungeons since both can be heavily influenced by raid drops.

I have yet to hear why Artifact power and Azerite are similar to Anima though.
Is it really just that they drop from similar sources that makes players dislike it?

By all means continue defending the decisions of this multi-billion dollar company because the last two expansions have been so fucking great and amazing and totally didn't make almost everyone unsubscribe. You do you lmao.

Nathanos doesn't wear platemail, which is what Sylvanas heard at the end of the book.

Btw what if we do get a Dragon Knight type of class but instead of the specs having to do with dragonflights, the specs are Dragonflight agnostic and the class has a special interaction with a Covenant-style system for Dragonflights? SO everyone else just gets to pick a Dragonflight for cosmetics but Dragon Knights actually get some class features modified depending on their choice. Sure it would make the class more complex but it would be your choice to pick it instead of having your main for so many years only function properly for each type of content if you pick the right flight.

It is possible to think the expansions are bad, but also that some of the decisions were good.
Just because SL suffered catastrophically because of droughts and poor buildup doesn't detract from how the Great Vault us a great improvement on gearing, and that 9.2 has gotten closer to fixing some old problems with tier sets.

The distinctive clank of metal armor doesn't have to come from plate. It could come from scale armor (which is what hunters tend to wear; plus he could get a new set of armor when he comes back with her from the Maw, scavenged from Mawsworn who are all in pretty heavy armor). Not saying it's not Anduin because they would definitely do something that stupid. But "hope" for Sylvanas at that point would definitely be to spend her time in the Maw with Nathanos.

Plus it leaves it open. Anduin could come back or we could even find him somewhere in the world. Heck it could be that this is not about retiring Anduin from the game for a few xpacs but rather about removing him from the throne so he can adventure more freely without the weight of the Alliance. For all we know we might find him without the heavy plate and SW regalia standing next to Wrathion in the Dragon Isles. They have always had those two characters interact at every chance and I think it would be weird to have a dragon centric xpac without Wrathion and weird to have Wrathion without Anduin.

it was about "metal armor" it could be anyone, not naked. Sylvanas remembered Anduin's words about "hope" when she saw who it was.

That seems like a stretch given Nathanos is wearing predominantly leather rather than scalemail. His biggest distinguishing clothing feature is a giant leather duster afterall.

I've actually been thinking this would be the most logical next step. Intro quest line has you rescue a bunch of eggs from somewhere, and wahey, it hatches into a baby chromatic drake. Which changes into whichever dragonflight you're currently associated with. Pocopoc was okay, as long as they don't drop a load of cosmetics on 1% drops on low spawn rares I'd enjoy it. You could mix Pocopoc, covenants, and the legion artifact weapon and customization into 1system, this little pet that's with you and grows the whole expansion.

As much as Anduin for BfA, yet both have been completely overshadowed by the female counterpart. Which is not a real problem at all, but it's just an overused trope now.
