Dragonflight Alpha/Beta General Discussion

As of now is there an obvious character that looks to setup bridging Shadowlands into Dragonflight or would it be the first expansion since Cataclysm without a character creating a situation/catalyst for the next expansion?

ie
- MoP Garrosh escapes is helped to AU Draenor then the Iron Horde invasion.
- WoD Guldan portaled by Archimonde to Azeroth finding Illidan's body
- Legion epilogue of Gallywix showing Sylvanas Azerite.
- Sylvanas flying off after killing Saurfang in Bfa then the epilogue with her interacting with Nathanos in Ghostlands before she heads off to ICC.

As far as I can tell, there isn't any character like that this time around.

What if torghast evolved into a new kinda build a dungeon system

Dungeon layout
Number of bosses
Specific bosses

All farmable or craftable with some you can buy from a vendor

Defeating certain bosses gives certain loot so players can say “I need the orb of dragon breath so I can farm Sinezdormu for the tank trinket”

If the next expansion is about dragons, it's pretty obvious that she's going to feature as a major character for at least a large chunk of the questing experience. And I'm all for it. I'd love to see the ramifications of the Deaths of Chromie come into play and more story on her in general.

A character that was tied to the story but unaccounted for at the end…either nathanos or the undead proudmore

I mean depending on Nathanos’s mission he could be doing something about a failsafe

Also very possible a certain sleeper agent finally woke up

Imagine if WoW had the equivalent of PoE maps as endgame content, instead of choreghast like content.

The thing is, if we get a separate storyline per flight that is at least as long as the Covenant stories, we will very much needed MULTIPLE dragon characters per flight. So Chromie, Anachronos and Soridormi are all very likely to show up in the Bronze questline (what with Deaths of Chromie, Kairoz assassinating Soridormi, Nozdormu going Infinite).

Y’all are nuts. The covenants ARE the “shakeup” you’re looking for, to make the classes a little different each expansion. Y’all too busy nerd raging at “borrowed power” to see it, though.

It’s much better to have a stable, fluid class “rotation” modified for the flavor of each expansion via artifacts, Azerite or covenants*… than to have to deal with a new, potentially janky rotation for a spec previously well polished just because clowns need something new to complain about.

*Especially considering that most people have become comfortable and settled down into a class/spec they enjoy because they liked the flow of the rotation.

PoE's map system ain't gonna work in a game like WoW, that should only ever be used in ARPG's where the pace is much faster so you can actually do it.

idk what builds you play in PoE but they are anything but slow.

I clear maps with a good layout in a minute (Atoll, Mesa, City Square etc)

knowing how Danuser do his thing, he will prob kill of Nozdormu/make him Murozond so chromie become the leader ~~for reasons~~. Alex will be the only original one, and since she is dragon milf she will not get villainbat or be killed.

I do hope the "pick your dragonflight" is more akin to legion classhalls, i didn't like the covenants, at all. One of ideas people discussed was if the "dragonsworn" class was just ana rtifact-like system, like a prestige class on top of your own class, but i guess tis too complicate to do it right.
