9 days left… the wait is killing me!!
Who the fuck doesn't like Chromie and where can we send them? Bunch of sensitive losers.
The fairy tale book retconned her dialogue in HOTS implying their dragon name didn't imply anything, but honestly, who the hell cares and HOTS is not really canon. That's not any excuse for the real reason.
You and I have experienced a very different wow playerbase. Don't worry I don't think Dragonflight is going to sexualize Chromie. Gnomes aren't even supposed to be children they're supposed to be adults with dwarfism. Lallafel, those are the creepy stans.
Why is End Time so fascinating to people? It was just a what if dungeon that we already circumvented in Dragon Soul.

It seems to be a Forgotten Realms thing, yeah. Most dragons in Warcraft choose a form with a gender matching their draconian one. See: literally every dragon minus Chromie
Chromie being trans was speculation for years because of her true name, Chronormu, being an explicitly male name. She's the only example of something like that in the lore.
The whole Chromie business has zero realistic relation with a certain topic we all know about, what with Chromie being able to turn at will into perfect physical copies of either sex and any species. Past that, Chromie's fine, I've no strong opinion.

Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.
One issue with fake leaks, is that they set the actual thing up for faillure.
Like, I immediately though the Dragonflight mmo c leak details were fake, and still do. But it kind of grew on me, imagining the different classes, the class skins, etc. When the announcement actually happens I'm afraid some expectations will not be met and some people will be let down, through no fault of Blizzard's.
So, I'm trying to temper my expectations and not hold any of these speculations too close.
There's a few people who seem hung up on the idea that some others may dislike Chromie as a character.
I myself have already stated I'm pretty neutral on the character themself, they aren't anything special, or particularly endearing to me, slightly annoying, yes, but not a huge offender. I've just said that I think anyone simping for the character is a bit noncey, and yes, people do simp for the character, as evident in trade chat, reddit posts, and sometimes this very forum. Liking the character is different.
More to the point, you are going to get people who don't like the same characters as you, it doesn't lesser their opinion.
I personally don't think any WoW character is particularly interesting if I'm totally honest. The character's that I have tended to prefer though, tend to be discarded, or suffer later on with less characterisation or a change to their character that tends to make them less appealing.
Rastakhan is a good example of an interesting character with promise, discarded far too early.
I think the only characters at the moment that could get me engaged moreso than usual, and when I say engaged I mean more in the sense of ''hey, that's cool'', would be Khadgar showing up again in a prominent role, Jaina returning to more of her BfA style, Wrathion (which will be a given next expansion so that's cool) and I would love to list an Orc because they're my favourite WoW race but we've just completely blitzed through any of prominence aside from Thrall haven't we?
Oh I agree. But just because you haven't seen something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We are not all aware of all things at all times.
And while every character gets hate for one reason or another, some characters get hate because of discriminatory mindsets. To me, that's more unacceptable than most comments other characters receive. Because it's less that I'm put in the position of having to defend said character or their actions, and more that I'm left defending my own existence or the existence of others around me in real life. Because the reason they hate the character has nothing to do with the game.
And as someone who argued against a sea of comments about it just a few days ago, I assure you that's a prevailling mindset with a considerable portion of the playerbase.
And that's as far as I'll go discussing it as it's beyond the topic and the rules of the forums.
