Oh I agree. But just because you haven't seen something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We are not all aware of all things at all times.
And while every character gets hate for one reason or another, some characters get hate because of discriminatory mindsets. To me, that's more unacceptable than most comments other characters receive. Because it's less that I'm put in the position of having to defend said character or their actions, and more that I'm left defending my own existence or the existence of others around me in real life. Because the reason they hate the character has nothing to do with the game.
And as someone who argued against a sea of comments about it just a few days ago, I assure you that's a prevailling mindset with a considerable portion of the playerbase.
And that's as far as I'll go discussing it as it's beyond the topic and the rules of the forums.

Let alone a class exclusively designed around their aesthetic and quirks.
the class is not a problem, because it would be open to other races, so you make your own, but the race itself is a problem.

I, personally, fucking hate warcraft gnomes, they design with gigantic heads and small limbs pisses me off greatly, goblins i like, they design is fine.

Most people just hate then, small, comic relief, high pitched voices, is understandable.

With one week to go I think my predictions from 6 months ago are still really strong:

Light & Void plot but it won't be evident at the start of the expansion. And not Light vs. Void, but Light & Void team up to take over Azeroth, using Turalyon & Alleria as their avatars. But they sell the expansion as an old-school RPG set up:
*Classic Tabletop inspired content. Dragon Hordes, Kobold Caves, Etc.
*Modular make-your-own dungeon feature. Players make their own non-canon D&D inspired instances, like in EQ2 or Neverwinter. Under the guise of players sitting at a tabletop game within WoW, like the homage in Boralus.
    *New Bard Class
I'd add a "rebuilding azeroth" pve advancement system, based on those multiple instances of Brill in different levels of construction.

I feel like classes have felt the same since legion, so 6 years.

I rly hope they shuffle up the classes, change them and add a new talent system.
Not because i think it's currently bad, but it has become so stale.

We need changes just for changes sake.

I don't see Light personally. I was pretty adamant on Light being a very big factor if we were to get a world revamp expansion, but with the news of Dragonflight I don't see it now.

Void I think in some capacity though, via Xal'atath and the Infinites.

No matter the topic, someone will find a way to redirect it to complain about their current aggro.

As of now is there an obvious character that looks to setup bridging Shadowlands into Dragonflight or would it be the first expansion since Cataclysm without a character creating a situation/catalyst for the next expansion?

    ie
    - MoP Garrosh escapes is helped to AU Draenor then the Iron Horde invasion.
    - WoD Guldan portaled by Archimonde to Azeroth finding Illidan's body
    - Legion epilogue of Gallywix showing Sylvanas Azerite.
    - Sylvanas flying off after killing Saurfang in Bfa then the epilogue with her interacting with Nathanos in Ghostlands before she heads off to ICC.

Absolutely. The current talent tree worked great in mop and good in wod but has been very weak and doesn't add anything really.
I especially want to move away from every single class having combo points in disguise. (And also the cooldown centric playstile that has become more prominent in shadowlands)
Its not even fun to speculate which covenant abilities might make it to the next expansion like it was with artifacts. They just feel bland and for the most part im glad when they are gone.

What if torghast evolved into a new kinda build a dungeon system

    Items determine
    Difficulty
    Dungeon layout
    Number of bosses
    Specific bosses

All farmable or craftable with some you can buy from a vendor

Defeating certain bosses gives certain loot so players can say “I need the orb of dragon breath so I can farm Sinezdormu for the tank trinket”

As far as I can tell, there isn't any character like that this time around.

Chromie best girl, I mean dragon.

A character that was tied to the story but unaccounted for at the end…either nathanos or the undead proudmore

I mean depending on Nathanos’s mission he could be doing something about a failsafe

Also very possible a certain sleeper agent finally woke up

    Sure
(I haven’t touched a soulsborne game since dark souls)

I mean have a basic rng version as well but use items to make it more challenging and buff the rewards. So vision dungeons

depends on how time works. why he should be automatically stuck in the time loop, in a time, we are not part by ourselfes ? maybe you should think about the typical fundamental problems of time friction a bit more, before posting such „simple solutions“.
