The thing is, if we get a separate storyline per flight that is at least as long as the Covenant stories, we will very much needed MULTIPLE dragon characters per flight. So Chromie, Anachronos and Soridormi are all very likely to show up in the Bronze questline (what with Deaths of Chromie, Kairoz assassinating Soridormi, Nozdormu going Infinite).

Y’all are nuts. The covenants ARE the “shakeup” you’re looking for, to make the classes a little different each expansion. Y’all too busy nerd raging at “borrowed power” to see it, though.

It’s much better to have a stable, fluid class “rotation” modified for the flavor of each expansion via artifacts, Azerite or covenants*… than to have to deal with a new, potentially janky rotation for a spec previously well polished just because clowns need something new to complain about.

*Especially considering that most people have become comfortable and settled down into a class/spec they enjoy because they liked the flow of the rotation.

As of now is there an obvious character that looks to setup bridging Shadowlands into Dragonflight or would it be the first expansion since Cataclysm without a character creating a situation/catalyst for the next expansion?

ie
- MoP Garrosh escapes is helped to AU Draenor then the Iron Horde invasion.
- WoD Guldan portaled by Archimonde to Azeroth finding Illidan's body
- Legion epilogue of Gallywix showing Sylvanas Azerite.
- Sylvanas flying off after killing Saurfang in Bfa then the epilogue with her interacting with Nathanos in Ghostlands before she heads off to ICC.

Imagine if WoW had the equivalent of PoE maps as endgame content, instead of choreghast like content.

PoE's map system ain't gonna work in a game like WoW, that should only ever be used in ARPG's where the pace is much faster so you can actually do it.

idk what builds you play in PoE but they are anything but slow.

I clear maps with a good layout in a minute (Atoll, Mesa, City Square etc)

knowing how Danuser do his thing, he will prob kill of Nozdormu/make him Murozond so chromie become the leader ~~for reasons~~. Alex will be the only original one, and since she is dragon milf she will not get villainbat or be killed.

I do hope the "pick your dragonflight" is more akin to legion classhalls, i didn't like the covenants, at all. One of ideas people discussed was if the "dragonsworn" class was just ana rtifact-like system, like a prestige class on top of your own class, but i guess tis too complicate to do it right.

To be fair, I'm not sure if you can really do a Class Hall-esque experience that's cross-class without drawing too close to Covenants in some ways.

Did something happen with Chromie in the time I was afk from WoW? That was literally the main reason people hated her, or hate her

Basically, despite everybody hating Gnomes for completely rational and fair reasons, other reasons emerged. The short version is that it's highly implied that Chromie is transgender, or some Azerothian equivalent thereof and that's why she chose a female form despite having a masculine name (Chronormu) in her Dragon form.

The whole Chromie business has zero realistic relation with a certain topic we all know about, what with Chromie being able to turn at will into perfect physical copies of either sex and any species. Past that, Chromie's fine, I've no strong opinion.

It was definitely a bit of an awkward execution—I'd say it's not the worst, though. We're in fairly acceptable territory and I suppose it does explore the idea in a way that doesn't just obviously correlate it to the real-life incarnation of it. It does feel a little interesting to explain why a shapeshifter is so often in their disguise as being some kind of dysphoria on her part. It's not too obnoxious and feels subtle enough that it makes sense.

Slyvannas hears a sound behind her. She turns. The owl becomes a Mal'ganis. He simple says "Sire Denathrius seeks a word Banshee".

if you only have an ability for one expansion before it's taken away, how is that any different from a "borrowed power" ability like artifacts or covenants
