I'd actually prefer if the end result was a mix of both zones. I honestly would rather see a revamped Netherstorm than Faralhon which essentially was folded into Gorgrond (Faralhon pretty much is the jungle/Botani parts of Gorgrond). And it would be nice if AU X'era was trying to force A'dal to join her because then we could see civil war in the Light and actually make it nuanced with part of the Light staying benevolent.

And yes please more Arakkoa, Spires of Arak had such high quality world building.

    I have 6 nelves I hope so!

I hope there is a completely new heritage armor for Night Elves alongside that BfA Vanilla Cinematic armor that becomes available as a "Minor" heritage armor. The same way Blood Elves are getting this new Blood Knight set as a 2nd "minor" armor.

Third, there may very well be Nathrezim infiltrators helping cause that war.

I think Yrel from what we saw of her would be able to switch if she realized she was being duped. I do think the Draenei probably feel very much reasonable in distrusting the orcs if the planet around them is failing given the orcs already tried to KILL THEM ALL once with no provocation other than hearsay AND likely know what happened to them in the main timeline.
Don't believe the Maghar, believe blizzard.

They didn't make that scenario for shits and giggles. Yrel is definitely being groomed as a villain.

Other wise, we could have just gone to Draenor and be all like, "hey you guys owe us, come fight for us", and thats it.

I do have to say, I still feel the fruit bowl thing was so stupid and lazy. If it was problematic because it had to do with behaviour in the office, replace it with something similar inspired by nude art and keep the theme.

I think the Blood Knight armor is the wrong item of comparison, given that the armor is only going to be available to Paladins, while the aforementioned Night Elf armor is more closely tied to racial than class identity then anything.

Still a good idea, though. Tie it to a racial questline available to all no matter the level.

I think they were also introducing a plot that can lead to a future faction war event and expac (with the Alliance initially taking Yrel's side) only for the disastrous handling of BfA to blow up in their face and kill any future faction war plots for the foreseeable future.

The fruit bowl thing is the only part where I'll concede, yeah. Just so, so... stupid. Just cover up the art or replace it with tamer art of women... why fruit?!?!

The Blood Knight armor is also super lazy. It's just a recolor they already had made and chose to make it available in this way, even though it doesn't really have any Blood Knight regalia on it and just fits the black and red colors.

I want the nelf archer armor SO BADLY. That OG trailer armor has been something I wanted since I rolled my first character the day after christmas in 2004.
I was so sure it would be a reward from the BfA pre-patch, and then we just got the same boring armor we could already get from the Garrison scrapyard...
The world revamp dream will never die!

I maintain: where the hell is my fruit bowl Polymorph?

If it's going to create intense community division the least they can do is make something good of it.

I mean they did not remove all sexy art from the game. We still have a harem in Black Temple, it's just now available for all sexual orientations. If it really was about some office impropriety just replace it with a different classic nude reinterpreted for WoW.

    Exactly; we're in agreement here

Let me make an educated guess: you also feel offended by gay and trans npcs?
It just doesnt feel right to annihilate and erase white NPCs transforming them Black.

They could just add additional „Black“ NPCs.

I do think night elves should get their heritage dead last though. The Darkshore warfront sets (Especially the elite version) were all stellar, as were the weapons. The Human ones from Arathi were not nearly as good except for the plate one (which is amazing).

Did they change any named NPCs? I thought they only changed guards? And really, what is it with the white fragility?

All the npcs with new skin tones were completely generic. Like "Stormwind guard." You don't even know what you're mad about.

I've brought this up before, but nobody called out Thrall having his big mucho arms and abs suddenly on display during cataclysm and dagon soul.

Whilst fighting fire breathing dragons, doesn't really make sense to have his bare skin showing either.

But last time I brought that up I got lectured for a couple of pages. If it's okay for thrall to show his abs and forearms, alexstraza and sylvanus can show some stomach and thigh.

But, a redesign where a character has more clothing can be better, I just don't think the sylvanus legion model improved anything. I liked the shadowlands one however.

Or give us a naked male! Or if you want to be doing the social justice thing, give a classic nude that is more about body acceptance; tons of renaissance nudes with full figured women.

I definitely think that some of the changes are reactionary and very much performative.

Idk about that, a third faction conflict expansion? Now Yrel influencing turalyon and causing a rift between him and Alleria sure. But they'd have much bigger targets than the horde.

The horde doesn't have any voidy threats.

They'd probably try to kill Alleria and then kidnap Locus Walker to take them to K'aresh. Remember K'aresh is the only known place a void Lord was able to manifest.
