Could be any number of things in a press kit. Images of the collectors edition rewards, pictures of zones, what we do in every zone, new power systems, gear sets, box cover villains.
Hell, it could include a detailed list of announcements all the way up to a potential 10.0 release date. You never know what is in a press kit.

I'm an accountant, I very much don't know what is in a press kit. Unless someone asked me to cost one and I don't remember it

The mods have always allowed real leaks to be posted

The issue was not with the leak, was that posters were analyzing the picture to a dangerous level. While I doubt there was any intent to DOX, once people noted that it was problematic it should have stopped immediately.

That picture didn't have enough information for any sort of doxxing what are you on about? It had a monitor, a cup of coffee and the poster.

A press kit is basically a box or bag filled with stuff that a journalist might need to make an article on whatever.
In the case of WoW it would likely include high quality images of what they are showing so they don't need to use lower quality rips. As well as a list of things that the publisher considers important for the article to contain.

I don't think it has ever happened with WoW from what I remember, but the press kit can also contain physical items like collectors edition stuff if that is considered important enough to warrant glamour shots.

Basically it's just whatever a journalist might need to make the article ahead of time, so it can be released shortly, if not immediately after the announcement.

Was meaning to say. We already had some promo art leaked. More could leak down the line. The real question is if there is anything worth leaking, like a plot outline box in a larger poster.

Would we even have that much for a fully online event? I think the biggest would be if someone does an oopsie and the website goes live too soon. Even if only for a few minutes, that is enough to get the stuff. On the one hand, I don't want everything to leak sooner. On the other hand I want something to talk about.

Honestly, the dragonflight.blizzard.com domain bothers me. Like, were previous expansion registered like that?

I agree with your skepticism. But maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised. After all ALOT was clearly cut from SL, maybe 10.0 is farther ahead in development than previous xpacs at this stage

I am afraid it might be true. Previusly we had xpac announced with x.1 or x.2 patch, now we're a month in the 9.3. That would mean a looooooooooooooooong content draught.

Really? I think it's pretty clear that now we need something more down to earth. If not Dragon Isles, if not revamp, then what?

I meant WoW2/Revamp. Those aren't quite the same.

Dragon Isles depends largely on how they do it. A sequel or revamp i'd consider a major waste of resources.

No joke, if WoW was redesigned today, I think Shadow Priest should not be part of priest and there should be a separate class dedicated to Shadow Magic. Looking at Void Elves from Island Expeditions we have Knights, Archers (possibly Hunters) and Casters.

Could be done by giving Paladins to Void Elves with a Void Knight Class Skin, plus extra skins for Hunters. Would also solve the High Elf Paladin wishlist.

people who spend all their time on forums by definition are going to be people who aren't playing the video game

you can still play the game and spend some time in the forums, discord or similar, unless you play 24/7.

Wow forums in particular are overrun with people who haven't played the game in years but are still obsessed with it. Hell, that's most of the fanbase of most of WoW's big streamers (Asmongold)

You can like the game overall, and still be discontent with the state of it. I played all bfa, but hate it the expansion and got more fun doing old content. People would like to see the game be good again.

The game is in a fine spot right now.

The only place the game is is nowhere near a "fine spot", this hyperbole is like saying the game is dead.
