For now...... Little disappointed that i missed the big leak drop. Good to see that some of that discussion is still happening.

People may believe they have seen it before because depicting a dragon roaring from a side view is highly common, but that Alexstraza picture has never been seen publicly before that leak.

In my view, it's legitimate, and it's legitimacy has only increased in the nearly two weeks since its release because no one has shown a high res version anywhere on the net.
Glad to see you're okay. I was a little worried.

That's why I was like 'potentially' because I couldn't think of another horde race it would really work with. But the others I can totally see.

You mean the Tinker April Fool's thing? I thought it was rather amusing that people thought that removed the Tinker from consideration. The Tinker concept entered Warcraft via an April Fool's gag back in 2004.

With that said, I do feel that the actual leak from Blizzard is indicative of the Tinker not appearing in the next expansion as a class. It is still a possibility, but I think a higher possibility is a dragon class based on Alexstraza HotS. If that leaked pic is real (and I believe it is), it's no different than LK, Chen, or Illidan on their covers of their respective expansions heralding their classes into the game.

No, I was worried the people here finally got to you. Oh I agree that Tinker will still happen, but perhaps not in the upcoming expansion. I admit I've greatly warmed up to the idea of a dragon inspired class now that I've put more thought into it. I really hope 10.0 is awesome brings me back because I don't want to be as upset with WoW as I was in SLs. I still hate SLs lore and no more LK/the damage I feel that it did, but I love Azeroth and its races.

Weren't Dark Rangers also an April Fool's Joke once as well?

No garrosh doesn’t set a precedent because the only reason he was in the maw was because of denathrius and the jailer interfering

Bastion: you don’t ascend then you get kicked back to oribos
Maldraxxus: you either pledge to a house and fit in one of the virtues or go back to oribos
Ardenweald: you need a tie to nature just to get there
Revendreth: if you can repent then you can become a member of the venthyr or go to oribos but if you can’t then you get cleansed and if even that fails you get chucked into the maw

Thing is the maw wasn’t really used outside of the corrupted leader being corrupt

Its just a variation of the Ouroboros https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ourobo...20in%20alchemy.
BfA had the “kill X” quests
SL has the “power up X by killing mobs, now kill Y amount of mobs, now kill Z”

If this is going the way I think it's going, I think a lot of people will be pleased by the next expansion.

    Nope. Only the Tinker was.

Lets say you have one spec unlocked for these four projected classes - Dragon Knight, Bard, Tinker, Chronomancer.

There are other available specs, but you have to unlock them. You unlock them via a long, non time/rep gated quest chain that culminates with a difficult solo scenario, similar to the Mage Tower but not as difficult but still requiring some skill.

For example, you want to unlock the Tinker tank spec. You embark on a long quest chain, which takes you to various parts of Azeroth with a link to Tinkers as a theme. Let's say, the sail barge in Thousand Needles, Undermine, a revamped Gnomeregan. At each point in the quest chain, you temporarily unlock the tank spec abilities as they're taught to you, and you learn to control and master them. Eventually, it culminates in a solo scenario that also requires a level of skill to complete where you put all of the abilities together and play in that spec for the scenario, which would also help with teaching you how to play the complete package of that spec. For Tinkers, let's say its in The Motherlode instance, but updated to reflect the scenario and storyline.

You complete it and voila, RPG wise your character has learned a new skill, rather than just instantly being a master of its craft and having all specs unlocked, and your previous gadget/gunner specialist DPS Tinker can now pilot and repair mechs, and can now tank as a role.

I understand this wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but it is an interesting concept that adds some more flavour back into the RPG aspect of the game.
I think this would be complained about to an incredible degree but I enjoy the idea and I like class focused quests so I personally would like something like this even for any class that is leveling up in order to unlock certain abilities (like the old class quests).

Huh, would have sworn they were once. Maybe it wasn't from Blizzard and instead someone else's little joke.

My problem with this, and the micro-class idea in general is why would Blizzard do this instead of simply create a new 3-spec class that would require less work, yet garner a higher payoff?

Sidenote, if/when they add any new races or classes, please for the love of all that is holy, Blizz, add more character slots per account. I'm an altaholic and I'm begging you. I know I don't need them and every time this ever gets brought up people always say "you can't actually play 50 characters anyway so why would you need more?" but guys just let me have my own fun! There are too many class/race combos that are meaningful lorewise and so many different customization options on top of that!

    No, what was said was:

Anachronos says: Garrosh Hellscream... Such a pity how things turned out.
Anachronos says: In countless potential timelines, he was seen as a great hero of his people. Some called him the Horde's greatest warchief.
Anachronos says: What you saw here was one of his worst possible incarnations. A waste.

Not "the worst", "one of [the] worst", there is a difference. Also, not "every other", "in countless potential timelines". We know that there is an infinity of timelines, which means that even with the timelines straying too far from the Prime Timeline being erased from existence there are countless potential timelines where Garrosh isn't evil, just as there are countless timelines where he is just as evil (the one that just has one less blade of grass in Mulgore, for example) and even countless timelines where he is even worse. And given that Garrosh was sent to Revendreth rather than the Maw, one can presume that the Arbiter is capable of knowing that Garrosh was capable of not being evil by looking at his soul.

It would appear that history may repeat itself.....
