If the model name is drakemountemerald then that sounds like it really is a green drake and not rainbow.

Also, if it's emerald, does that mean that they are changing the color names of the flights to be gemstones/jewels/etc?

No. The name of the currently available green drake mount is Emerald Drake, and has been for years since it was released in like MoP, and yet green dragonflight is still green dragonflight. It only indicates that they might have forgotten there's already an 'Emerald Drake' in game.

Edit: they've used gem/mineral names for dragon elements before- Ruby and Obsidian Sanctums, Azure Drake (azure references lapis lazuli), the dragonshrines in Dragonblight, and I think they've called bronze drakes amber (in Nexus maybe? Might have called red dragons ruby there too). A drake mount buff effect being called 'emerald' just isn't noteworthy other than it just existing. Like how many synonyms are they going to use for different colors, especially since they'll have to be localized so they can't be English specific.

Yeah, that doesn't really look real at all. Decent try, but the font is completely off and the lack of any other UI elements is pretty bizarre.

they can not reuse the covenant UI from Shadowlands as it has distinctive oribos art assets

I'm basically set to unlock my Emerald Drake from Awake The Drakes by May 3rd/4th when TBC Timewalking comes.

My last two sub cycles, I farmed out Onyxian Drake (for a second time, gave the first drop to my pal), Blue Drake, Blazing Drake, Life-binder's Handmaiden, and Experiment 12-B (dropped yesterday )

Setting myself up to get the Netherwings in just a few weeks, and bam! No pre-order required to have an Emerald Drake
Just a litttle bit behind the pre-orderers though, it'll be delayed gratification.

Seeing the Dragonflight leak was pretty validating to my recent dedication to collecting them. Dragon-senses tingling off the charts, and booyah..

Fake maybe but if it was real it would be in what Alpha or pre-Alpha now? I doubt they would have UI art already locked so dismissing it for barebones is premature.

My point is that they are not gonna dumb down their own UI to a mere drake head icon.

Its a UI for picking between several options, seems like it would make good use as a foundation for such.

You don't need to create something from scratch every time.

Avery Brooks is a true original. I would never want to be in the same room as him, but the world is a greater place for having him in it.
