I don't think a demon expansion was suggested as much as people seem to think. I was there during the speculation thread for 7.0 and I remember the most probable/suggested theme for 7.0 being Nagas/Azshara. Most people thought Azshara would have taken over Azeroth in our absence, but nope, it was just more demons.

The "geniuses" that guessed it was going to be another demon expansion can pat themselves on the back, but let's not pretend like this was something everyone was theorizing about. Because that's not true. I feel like by that point most people were so fed up of the fel green shit of Tanaan Jungle that getting an entire expansion's worth of that seemed extremely unlikely.

Give it a rest. Tinkers have been included in every fake leak since Mists of Pandaria. Doesn't mean it is any more legit now than during the previous four leak seasons.

Of course, but with Gul'dan's end and how Blizzard teased demons in 6.2, it was predictable that the next expansion would be about demons.

They would never do something like that without a big fancy background too.

Everyone and their grandma is expecting Dragonflight covenants... but I really really really doubt it, as the rewards would basically be the exact same for each unless they start pretending that the dragons don't have the same armor, creatures, etc.

You misunderstood something, there's no "5 effects", there are 5 textures for one effect.

Just the single green puff for the effect they forgot to encrypt and we have access to (9fx_drakemountemerald_buff). There could very well be 4 more effects/colors that were encrypted correctly that we don't know about, but no signs pointing to that at the minute.
