What did he say about Argus?

Idk why everyone’s so hostile towards this guy. He claims he has a connection who isn’t high up and shares tidbits of information. He accurately predicted the demon Hunter class, gul’dan in a cave looking into a crystal LOL, and “something about big weapon modifications” which turned out to be the artifact weapon system. Like obvi those aren’t just lucky guesses. You’re all targeting specific details like “WhIcH pLanEt WaS iT On” Bro, his connection wasn’t the ceo of blizz he’s just piecing info together… god ppl are so annoying. Why be on a speculation/ leak thread if you don’t believe anything

Scaleface said what he did at the time based on third-hand information from someone else who saw some sort of video (this is mentioned in his posts). While he got some stuff right, he also got some stuff wrong whether it was a wrong guess or miscommunicated along the way/lost in translation. Again, this was 7 years ago and we're all looking at it with the benefit of hindsight. We have no surefire way of knowing of what he said back then being a few lucky guesses or actual information from his "friend at Blizz" and I don't think it's helpful to fill up the thread in posts discussing everyone's interpretation/opinions on what he said.

If anything, focus on what he said now or move on altogether only to reflect on his (and all the other leaks) post-announcement.

I've already explained this earlier in the thread. My stance on DHs and Tinkers from seven years ago is rather irrelevant at this point don't you think?

The scenes he is describing literally aren't a thing. There is no scene of Gul'dan sitting in a cave looking at Demon Hunters training. Demon Hunters and Illidan were lucky guesses, and Chris Metzen literally said he was gonna bring Illidab back.

He claimed that the pre-patch would be about defending Azuremyst from a demon invasion (which I guess you could stretch as being moved later in the levelling process). And then claimed that Argus woud be important immediately, and drew attention specifically to a supposed asteroid belt surrounding it.

Something that just dawned on me regarding the potential of Dragonflight being the next expansion.

Kalec was a huge part of the ending of BfA, yet his model has not seen an update in years. You would think that if Dragonflight was planned for 10.0 that they would have updated his model back then, considering that they do actively work on two expansions ahead, or at least have it planned out. It is just really odd they didn't drop him an updated model then if Dragonflight is legitimately the true leak (I mean the promo art, not the leak thread on here).

You missed the line "cut trailer and a lot of cutscenes" so there was some info about trailer and some of cutscenes as You see.. But it's nevermind - i dont need to prove anything Of course, later there was some trolling too as I said previously when someone posted my old stuff.

This is an unnecessary discussion about what I wrote once and pointing out "look! Here he was wrong!" people from the press do not always know everything to the letter, often they are excerpts, main slogans, excerpts from films, etc.

With a few people (because I recognize them here that they know what is planned), we have given you some hints in the last few days, in good spirit because of how we "players" (because I am also) are treated recently, and what is being done with our game, with lore - what used to be a great adventure is now fading away.

I really hope (and I think not only me) that the upcoming expansion will make some barriers [ ] disappear, that we will find more fun in the game again ..

Could very well been the plan, seeing how they removed a whole island from Broken Isles, we have no idea what the initial brainstorming for Argus was like. And if Azuermyst was indeed planned to be a prepatch invasion point then the Vindicaar discussion for storming argus could start sooner than 7.3

I mean, yeah, that's how fake leakers get their kicks, by saying vague stuff and hoping that gullible people stretch the truth.

Wrathion was the ONLY dragon thing they updated. They didn’t even touch Yseras model in SL and she’s a big character in SL.

They didn’t put much work into 8.3 because it was mostly filler outside of the Black Empire stuff, consider how many assets are reused with the old zones. They probably felt they could only update one “new aspect” and it was the most important at the time, Wrathion, who is the closest one of them to N’zoth.

There are lots and lots of dragon stuff that needs updating and Alex, Kalec and Noz probably won’t get any touch ups until then. They have been adamant to not ever touch dragons and their models even once since vanilla... into the time is right of course.

Mmmm yes and no, Jaina’s model was updated right at MoP where she was a key player and stayed that way right until BFA until she was re introduced in the spotlight.
Even think about how garrosh was the main antogonist in MOP and only received his high def model right before the last patch lol.
And with that logic wrathion should’ve gotten a new model two xpacs before Bfa but their ability to upgrade models has to make sense with that characters place in the story. Kalec was present at the end but he didn’t rlly do much, he was probably more present in legion tbh. And he’s kinda a meme at this point and has had the same two polygon model since 2006. Also, Ysera barely got upgraded and she was a somewhat main character in SL they only redefined her textures for the cinematics she’s in but in game she, just like all other dragons except wrathion, have their cata (or older) models.

They’re waiting to upgrade all of them together to better package and present the expac and build hype, that’s what they usually do.

Can we please stop derailing the thread with this? Scaleface is either telling the truth or trolling for a bit of fun. Either way the teasers he is giving are fun to speculate on. Until we have some new information to discuss picking apart information he gave 7 years ago seems unproductive.
