Why would they announce 2 seasons if it was releasing this year?

Someone picked a fight with another poster and necro'ed a couple of threads trying to call him out because his expansion hints weren't 100% correct. Oh and Yogg'saron might be the reason for the (leak) season.

Part of me was genuinely hoping we might see something about Yogg in Shadowlands. Especially with Maldraxxus. He was the Old God of Death. His aqir followers fully shared the architecture of a realm of Death.

That would require building on existing lore instead of overwriting it.

tbh a void expansion would still have plenty of opportunity for dragons to share spotlight

So, is this thread finally coming to terms with the fact that the Old Gods are not dead yet? Good, that will make the reveal on the 19th much more digestible.

Worry not, the mortal races will unite under the Ren'dorei of Alleria Windrunner and Magister Umbric to fight the reborn Old Gods.

I believe in another post they made they implied Season 4 was "being cancelled" or "a lie to test what fans want" and I'm like mmm....I don't think so.

I am going to laugh if it ends being something like

- Dragon Isles are just a max level sandbox zone
- No dragon race you just tame your own dragon mount and can customize it
- No new class but Hunters can now came dragons / druids get a fairy dragon flightform - close enough
- No revamp but we just added a bunch of doodads around Nordrassil and Brill to give you false hope

All I want is a new class or new specs for existing classes. I fully expect a new class.

If expansion is dragon-themed, I want a new race that can fly as a dragon and turn into a gnome mage. I fully except to be disappointed.

Gnomes can fly as a dragon and turn into a gnome mage. They've been able to do so since Cata.

well, same goes with that Alexstrasza pic, I'm pretty sure it was taken by a third party company that does flyers and press papers, therefore thats why there's that Seneca paper

It wasn't even the systems and gameplay issues that ultimately chased me away. I just went to another game that treated me better as a player and also made me feel way more connected to the story lol. Never played an MMO before where most of the major NPCs are literally my friend and treat me like one. Complete with 'are you okay please go take a nap' type comments.

Azeroth hasn't felt like home since well before Legion and I only really realized that during BFA.

But I'll always love azeroth's setting and races and world and want to see the game pull itself out of its spiral.

To be honest I am more hyped for the future to get something better after an underwhelming expac than a great one, since in a great one I don't mind spending more time in it

It’s not the same though. I want to really be Chromie, not a stone drake or Tarecgosa.
