Retail build last night went out, has 5 encrypted back pieces, all the same model but different colors.

Apparently same encryption key as the mount and pet.

The problem with it is he’s arguing for something that doesn’t exist as though it already does. And that in order for it to become a thing it has to have a fully realized existing precedent rather than being, yknow, a new idea.

Also while being simultaneously

-OK with a class of mortals empowered by the dragonflights

-While also being…not OK with them potentially getting a dragon transformation/avatar for rule of cool, saying they absolutely have to be dragons themselves for this brand new idea to work otherwise it’s…illegal somehow?

It would be weird to have a class that can turn into a dragon, when it would make more sense to play as a dragon, that turns into a humanoid form.

Of course we can have new things. But if something is already established, it becomes more likely to make it into the game.

It's like saying, why does a Death Knight have to be wearing plate and wielding a heavy weapon? Why can't he be like a Rogue and wield daggers? Why can't we have something new?

I dunno if you've heard much about Chris Chan lately, but I hope to all possible gods no one "goes Chris Chan".

What? I don’t think that logic tracks;

If they go with the concept of a mortal empowered by the Dragonflights, which is already a concept in the RPGs (which they are referencing whenever they want these days. Boralus, Tandred, etc.) why would it be a stretch for said class to have a dragon avatar?

I’m not saying they couldn’t make a class where we are dragons ourselves, but it logically works either way, and isn’t close to the same as “why does a Death Knight wear plate”. Like, what?

Especially since the Tarecgosa quest line already introduces us to this concept. Just taking that avenue for a class.

I’m not saying it’s going to happen either, I just think either possibility is possible.

Dont you guys think its kinda lazy to make the 5 recoloros for single dragon wings model? I mean, if it were dragon wings corresponding to 5 different dragonflights, id surely made the models look different, not only recolor them.

My point is i doubt it would be dragon wings. More likely, just a backpack, or cloak, nothing that asks for uniqueness (dragon wings do i think).

Feel free to quote me and laugh at me later but there is a 99.99% chance there will not be a class where you turn into a giant dragon along with the rest of the group to shit up the framerate and block everyone’s view.

Travel form? Maybe. Anything else? No.

If Alexstraza is on the cover and we're getting a new class, it's going to be a class based on Alexstraza from HotS. No different than if Alexstraza had been a WC3 character. No different than Illidan, Chen Stormstout, or Lich King.

Gods, yes. Poor bastard was absolutely groomed for "content," including this last bomb. I'm not saying that justifies their behavior in any way but it's just such a fucking tragedy of exploiting the vulnerable. Truly the worst probably-ending for them and the whole sordid thing.

As infuriating as some of the hyperfixations are here, at least nobody even approaches being near Chris Chan levels.

Why would the wings look different? The main dragonflights don’t look different from each other outside of the Infinite, they are just scale colors, and unless the expansion heavily redesigns each flight their wings would look the same.

That design problem is also why the probably won’t be covenants. Because everyone would be getting the same looking rewards, just with different colors and some different spell effects.

Except the other characters had their powersets established before HOTS. They may be the icons for the class, but Alex doesn’t do anything except breath fire in WoW or HOTS: her turning into a dragon is the gimmick of her character in HOTS, not anything defining about her.

There’s no way a dragon class is going to be based on ONE dragon.

I wonder if the cloaks will be something to do with the amazon/twitch promotion. They break the mold for usual deluxe edition bonus.
