Probably not a popular take, but I don't like "content crestors" like him. You're not employed by Blizzard, let it go mate. People who come up with all these ridiculous stories and made up classes irritate me, because it seems insulting to the actual employees of Blizzzard. They are running around saying but look how much smarter I am, look what I came up with, why can't we have this in game instead of the stuff that some employee spent their time actually developing. It seems insulting to me to poop all over the actual story and content we do get.

I'm not saying I love all the content and classes and story we get, but it is what we get, and to run around going "see, it should be this instead" is just weird and goofy to me.

To add to this, people often use info they found online about custom servers with a classless approach/new classes, and say how these hobbyist are doing much more than blizzar. But they ever actually tried something like that out they would find the following:
1. The classes are mostly just reusing everything blizzard provided in the game
2. New or reused stuff is buggy in every way
3. Almost no balance went into it, just added it to make cool
4. Almost no polish or such, also often enough doesn't regard the position of that class in the world

So would you like to play a class that is buggy, made of reused assets mostly, unbalanced and didn't have any additional mentions in the world when it got added? (All 3 races so far with their addition had story from there onwards regarding the class and the world)

But their announcements have been terrible for the past 2 years. Ever since BlizzCon 2019, they've done awful presentations. Remember BlizzConline 2021? We basically got a lacklustre patch trailer with Uther walking past Anduin, and a few bullet points. The rest was TBCC this and TBCC that.

I really hope the April 19th announcement is a smash hit, and I'm excited as hell. Just saying that until Blizzard proves otherwise, they've really forgotten how to do good announcements.

The expansion reveal, for one, is not a follow up to such events and they had more than enough time to organize a proper expansion deep dive.

After the whole fiasco that the last 2 years have been, i doubt Blizzard can afford to dumb down their biggest money making announcement to a mere 10 minute video where half of it is about 'Lava that we have never seen before'.

For Blizzconline they had to compromise due to circumstances, and I personally quite enjoyed what they pulled off.

If you were to compare the 9.1 Blizzconline to other non-blizzcon patch announcement it is far greater than those. Comparing the online version to the in person version of the announcements isn't really fair.

Difference being that the DH intro cinematic didn't exist yet.

Besides, Gul'dan's involvement in ushering the Legion was heavily speculated. So was Illidan's return with Chris Metzen literally asking if we wanted him back at Blizzcon to cheers. We knew it was happening, we just thought it would be an expansion earlier than it did.

So all we have from this guy is that a class and or race is involved that have overlap with how Blizzard has previously implemented things, plus a cold reading that SOME interpreted to mean Evoker. When the race/class part has been speculated to be the case by 40 other leaks as well.

On top of this, the green fire quests heavily implied Illidan was coming back and were directly related to Illidan and the Black Temple. Not saying scaleface was or was not in the know, but we all knew Illidan was on his way back into the story soon and anyone guessing demon hunters was also guessing Illidan (and vice versa).

With Bellulars video the other day. I do think they are going to just ppPoof the sword as it could be written in material, they just dont want to deal with. Now with the gift seed item linking to the next expansion it could be a new world tree.

As cool as it sounds to plant the tree over the sword wound, that is just asking for the Grizzly Hills fiasco all over again. The roots WOULD reach C'thun and his body WOULD corrupt it worse than Teldrassil. Grizzly Hills isn't even directly above Yogg's prison and that world tree still got so messed up that they had to cut it down and it was still making the furbolgs crazy during Wrath. Gorribal is way closer to C'thun so instant disaster.

(And if you think being dead is gonna stop that from being a problem, ask the Pandaren how having a dead Old God's single organ affected their home.

Uuuh, no you can't? Outside of AzeriteUI (which has some severe functionality issues still, after years in development) no other addon gives you a WoW themed UI that fits a fantasy world, much less one that actually looks good. Diablo UI and GW2 don't count here obviously. They are not Warcraft/Fantasy-themed and they are definetely not what the user you're quoting is describing. Please, do enlighten me if I missed some really good new UI addon. I beg you.



Care to elaborate why? T&E are probably the best WoW content creators. Now, Preach does some amazing analysis of WoW, but he does nothing else. He doesn't do story, he doesn't do creative design (not sure how else to categorize coming up with Class Skin ideas, new Classes, new game features, etc). Asmon also has some interesting discussions but he doesn't even dive deep. Bellular is the fastest uploader and has the biggest variety of content (gameplay, balance, story, fantasy, features, models, guides, etc) but doesn't dive as deep as Taliesin and isn't very creative with his suggestions/ideas, whereas Taliesin puts a lot of imagination and effort there. EVEN if you dislike his ideas, the effort he puts in them is objectively amazing. The story analysis he does is amazing. Even if far fetched at times, he makes sure to remind us it's his headcannon. He doesn't enforce anything. Really, you picked the one guy who isn't doing anything wrong?

Yeah I don't think so either tbh. Shamans aren't elementals, their power is gifted and channeled through their bodies by the elements. I think a dragon themed class would be the same. Power gifted by dragons.

The hate with pandas is because they're funny cuddly widdle pandas, there wouldn't be, or rather, there would be much smaller uproar if instead of pandas we got proper pandyr playable race

Pandas being unpopular has fuck all to do with them being beastly but everything to do with them looking like they are sumo fighters that just left a chinese take-out shop. (and despite that, they aren't actually very unpopular, they are being played more than half the race roster)

Worgen are beloved and Vulpera are one of the most popular ARs.
So long as their model design actually looks good, it's fine.

Besides, it's a Drakonid.
If they are that scared of player reception they can just give them Dragon shapeshifting powers and give them 2 forms.
Which would work as we have seen Drakonids shapeshift before.

Why are we bringing pandas into this? They're a niche, but anthros are not.

Take a look at how popular Vulpera are for the most recent example. The race doesn't even have lore, but I see them just as often as blood elves now.

Worgen are also popular, and that's despite their customization being atrocious and the horrid models they were stuck with for years because of random furry hate.

I much preferred old Bellular where he would just present any info/news as is objectively and make his opinion known about it then. But recent content seems to be more of him presenting info around his opinion and mostly covering news that will get more audience
