Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
If WoW races were based on mass appeal we would have XIV races. The only "sexy human" races we've gotten since TBC Blood Elves are Nightborne, Void Elf (reskin) and arguably Zandalari.
Fresh dose of leaks:
>9.2.5 will be released on May 10th, not all content has been uploaded to PTR (deliberately)
>Shadowlands races are playable in 9.2.5, but instead of being unlockable to create, once you finish the Covenant campaign (OG, Korthia, and ZM) + get 80 Renown + Fully upgrade your sanctum you can go through a questline to have your character become your covenant race
>Kyrian questline mentioned you going through all the trials of ascension, mentioned to have a racial ability that's basically a flying version of the running wild, they don't go into detail on the others
>Mentioned to NOT need a preorder of Dragonflight
>As for Dragonflight, from what I can tell that dude who leaked it back in Feb was legit, won't go over shit from that leak again, will just expand on it
>Class skins available as soon as you preorder, which is mentioned to be "in the coming months", microclasses will be later but said to be before the expansion
>Both have to be unlocked but work slightly differently
>Microclasses are unlocked by any character and then you can make a character of said class
>Different race/class combos apply, can't remember the entire list off the top of my head but I remember Wardens are available to Night Elves and Nightborne (not Blood Elves), Mag'har can be Necromancers (I think Trolls and Dwarves couldn't be them), all Elves could be Dark Rangers (and only Elves), Nightmare Druids available to Undead and Void Elves. I'm definitely forgetting some restrictions and some new options but you get the general idea
>Microclasses work more like SL races, you do a questline to unlock them as an extra spec
>Any class can unlock any microclass, but you just won't be able to share gear if you're a Mage with Dragon Knight, you do get a full set of gear upon completing the quest though that's relevant to your Microclass
In regards to Pandaren, they can be fierce - especially in combat. And I just don't see being happy/joyful as this great transgression (especially when, in lore, they had to learn to focus on positive emotions over generations because of Sha). Yeah, I know, stepping outside the zone of jaded apathy makes you "cringe" or "extra" these days. I just don't adhere to that particular philosophy, myself.

Having your character turn into a SL race is not a bad idea, but I really really doubt they will ever be playable. People will just tantrum about seeing SL anything moving forward because they are traumatized by the expac.
Also LOL at Nightmare Druids for Undead and Void Elves, bullshit.

I'm starting to think the text leak is incorrect, as much as I wish it was true. I can't overlook completely ignoring Kalimdor and especially the Night Elves, now that we know they are getting a seed.
Let's not forget that two of the races that players seemed to want the most from BfA were Sethrak and Ankoan. Snake people and fishmen.
Players want races that look good. And while this can often end up meaning races that look humanoid, it's not a complete overlap, as indeed seen by Mechagnomes, who look very much like gnomes, and by proxy humans. But whose popularity got completely blown out of the water by Vulpera, who are bipedal foxes with no real illusion about being humans.
Players were more excited for Vulpera since they looked good.
The world revamp dream will never die!
Sylvar, the fauns.
The real question is what the Maldraxxus one would be, though it would probably be the bulky gladiators, as they are the only Necrolord race that seems to have visually distinct men and women.
It should be noted that we don't know how Sylvar are made, they don't have "ghosts can turn into them" lore like Kyrian, Venthyr and Necrolords do.

Adding to the previous leak by the same person:>9.2.5 will be released on May 10th, not all content has been uploaded to PTR (deliberately)

>Player Housing is instanced with 'where' your house is being effectively a different skybox and ground colour
>Each race has its starter zone for what it can get, but you can unlock other zones to have your house in by being exalted with the faction of the zone such as having your house in Moonglade if you're exalted with the Cenarion Circle
>Players will first join an Order Hall which will determine the order you play the zones and the meta story that entails, though the stories of the individual zones remain
>Uldaz will explore what Elune is and why the Titans didn't tell us about the First Ones
>Thalen Songweaver has taken over Silvermoon, this is the most 'faction war' of the zones as Horde wants to take the city back but the Alliance want to use the chaos as an opportunity to bring Quel'thalas back into the fold
>Balor is inhabited by Pygmy slaves who escaped Undermine due to being exposed to Kajamite, I'm assuming this is what the dude meant by "Halflings" as they live in Mounds, but they seem more like Celts than Hobbits
>The "Proto demons" are called Fomorians and they're creatures actually born in the Twisting Nether rather than Mortal races corrupted by Fel (which is what demons are apparently)
>Leader of Scarlet Onslaught is Calia Menethil's trans son, they make a really big deal about how he's voiced by a trans man
>Dragon Isles is being used as Chromatus's prison, the Devourers have released him though
>First raid is called The Great Auction and is Gallywix playing the demons and fomorians against each other for possession of his soul, he's the final boss
>Second Raid is a revamped Sunwell, taking down Thalen and his unknown new master
And where/who are these leaks from?

Agreed. I think it is prettttty well distinguished by now that WoW isn't about being sexy and is the "MMO with the wacky races". It's not trying to compete with XIV in what races are available as WOW's strength is the very unique aesthetics, cultures and animations between the races.
