100% probably dragonspawn. From the non-canon RPG:
Dragonspawn are monstrous beings trained to serve under the five dragonflights of the world, and some say they evolved from humans who dedicated their lives to servitude under the great dragons.
And the current lore about what are dragonspawn is very limited besides being in the game for so long. Perfect time to expand their lore.
This probably can be reworked to make them more human.
Not necessarily, they could have a specific name as it is the name of their stranded group / culture that detached from other drakonids. Just like how Draenei call themselves Draenei, when the actual name of the race is eredar, and Draenei means Exiled Ones.

Definitely can't see a four legged race as a playable race, but eh, could be cool
I think a reptilian race of some sort is very possible. It has been a whole trope for RPG's, Iksar on EQ and Argonian on Elder Scrolls. D&D/Neverwinter MMO has the Dragonborn. And I think some (not all) of the Sethrak and Naga fans might be generally happy with such a race. Really, I thought during BfA that Sethrak was their way to make a Naga-like race that better fits a playable race form. But that didn't pan out.
Cosmic greetings, all, I'm the Raccoonatic Commander!

Could also be a group of Drakonids that leave the direct service of the dragons to aid the mortals. Since you know, they’ve been doing a better job protecting the world for the past decade than dragons. (Especially since the dragons lost a good bit of their power)
Could explain why they could be playable early too if they learn about us stopping the jailer.
But that might be a stretch…
This is where blizzard creative re-writing comes in play. They will probably rework so they now can just look like the current races. We dont have 100% proof in writing where they come from or if Dragonspawn even can reproduce. So maybe its just a blessing from the dragonflight.

Hold up read this trivia:
Blizzard have considered making drakonid a playable race, with Tom Chilton stating in 2009 that "We always looked at those and said, oh that would be a pretty cool player race - it would be cool to play as one of those guys. There's not a lot there as far as, where did they come from and what are they? But they are in the world and it wouldn't be completely inconceivable that a player would end up being able to play that, and we could continue to expand on the depth of that race and that sort of race."

So a dragon race is 100% not out of the picture if they probably even tested in back in 09

Unsure why they would give Drakonids a new name unless the name refers to a certain faction of them.
Y'know, I'd like to see our dragon allies be the threat, like they're war hawks trying to push the faction war so they can weaken both the Alliance and Horde to the point where the dragons can swoop in and re-establish our dominance. Meanwhile, the faction leaders know what the dragons are up to, but they can't afford to say no to the assistance, because there's no way they can stand up to the other side otherwise.
The prisoner's dilemma, essentially.
It became clear that it wasn’t realistic to try to get the audience back to being more hardcore, as it had been in the past. -- Tom Chilton
Don't both of his wolves have names? Maybe we missed that.
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.
Sorry Scaleface, people gave up on your puzzle already, too abstract I guess.
