Ya'll think we might get a surprise Wrath Classic reveal on Tuesday too?

I think WotLK Classic is 100% coming out this year so I think an announcement on Tuesday is likely. The only reason I’d hedge on that is the boosts they’ll inevitably sell for it. Do they really want to be like, here’s your $40+ expansion plus your $40 WotLK Classic boost, preorder now!

As I said a page or so back it is likely tied to Hearthstone or Alterac. Or Gryphons as Fractured in Alterac was during the Year of the Gryphon.

I feel like we're looking past whatever it is, once it's up on twitter it should be easier to solve. I am still surprised Draakyk wasn't the real answer since it fit extremely well, unless it really is that and we just spelled it wrong lol. I guess this is going to be our main topic in this thread for the weekend.

What's so surprising about it, lol? They did that for TBC last time with the new expansion. Think of this as late Blizzcon online.

They wouldn't announce it on its own, and they're going to want to give it a big deal.

Wrath Classic + Dragonflight all on Tuesday = Big subscription boost as people either try to finish up BC stuff or try to catch up on the end of Shadowlands.

Though at this point I'm more interested in when will they actually start a new progression run, not this Season of Mastery trashfire.

Preaching to the choir here; I hated everything about the Sylvanas arc.

I hated the fact we got a Sylvanas arc. Her story should have been wrapped up in BfA.

I mean her arc is still not wrapped up. She will come back and have a major role like it or not.

Maybe the problem is we are only looking at the letters. After all it is Drek'Thar and not Drekthar.

I think the letters play a big part, but I'm not sure what part. Drek'thar is definitely important and might be the key to the whole thing.

Maybe the Dragon Isles are not as big of a part of the expansion as we think, and they are actually just the starting zone for the new race and class like the Wandering Isle?

This would make sense if it’s revamp expansion. The text leak ignores stuff like Turalyon and Night Elves that are now getting set up.

I like it a lot more after reading the Sylvanas book, but of course that’s a lot of character motivation that should’ve been in game. Especially all the Lirath stuff. Gives a level of pathos to Sylvanas that to me she didn’t have previously, especially in regards to her actions in BFA/Shadowlnds.

But let her languish in WoW hell for awhile outside of small appearances or whatever, I’m ok with a Sylvanas break.

They should have deleted their characters, but sadly they can't do that, cause its just what you do with traitors who follow a cartoon crazy villain

She should have remained a minor character brooding in the background, providing some texture for the Horde which is otherwise just "graah, me smash". The mistake they did imo was to not let her Legion scheming conclude in something somewhat selfish and sinister but still forgivable. Like, maybe she attempted to save herself from eternal damnation by finding a way out of her condition, but ultimately fails and just decides she'll have to think of another way in the future.

Nah. The idea was to put their foot down and exterminate any psuedo-villainy attached to player characters and leave no room for anyone to “be evil” outside of RP. Hence why Sylvanas got iced and Gallywix got replaced.

If they want all characters to be forced to be good you can’t have those two as racial leaders without lobotomizing them.

Oh yes, the letters are definitely important. And the letters on the text are more important than the letters in Drek'thar. I mean Can you imagine Scale looking at the race name and going "Oh wow if we ignore these six letters this is an anagram of Drek'thar." No fucking way is that true.

Now that I had time to relax and fill my stomach I can think better. (I hope. Or I'm just simply going crazy) It's got to be that ace yak or whatever. Just with aposthrophes and weird capitalization. Like Ace'Yak or Yac'Eak or something.

It is certainly possible.

But I've moved over to the camp convinced there is no revamp coming in spite of the HD Buildings.

If the Dragon Isles is just a smaller part of a bigger expansion, all the areas are going to be Dragon-related.

Yeah pretty much what Ash says. It is the most fun way to kill time till the reveal. So we do owe thanks to Scale for that. Also if we solve the riddles on time and he confirms the correct guesses before the reveal we can better tell if he is full of shit or not. I made a bet with him that at least his release date is wrong.
