Can't speak for anyone else, but I wasn't baited by it. Just trying to figure out what Scales predictions actually are intended to be, so we have something to compare to the reveal on the 19th.

Edit P.S.: On that note, I found an unfortunate out that could be used if the class ends up not being Evoker. The notes on this say "evoker is real" - well, there are evokers that exist on WoW. It doesn't necessarily mean that's the class for sure. Although I am aware Scales has made a more direct connection, in that regard, further back.

Interesting discrepancy I found in the "code": If we consider each "word" a tuple of 3 elements i.e (x,y,z), then there's exactly 21 unique x,y values used, but only 15 z values used. This is out of 30 possible variations allowed with CAKYEA letters

tbh as I said earlier, Drakthyr, Dracthyr, or whatever this might be called just sound uninspired af, I truly hope it's not the name Blizzard have come with.

I’m still gonna err on this being BS because Drakthyr is so close to Venthyr and I don’t remember the Thyr suffix being used for dragons/vrykul/titan stuff.

The only thing pointing to it is the seemingly random vampires in Stormheim, and Venthyr aren’t actually vampires like the people on Azeroth are.

Can someone attempt to explain why anyone would give any credence to Evoker as a class? Seriously that idea should've died like 50 pages ago.

    Realistically we're getting either:

    A) Class based on the theme: Dragonsworn / Dragon Knight
    B) A highly requested class or system that would introduce highly requested themes: Tinker, Bard, etc, 4th specs / skins / 1 spec mini classes

Evoker as a standalone new class is just not happening. No one will give a fuck.

Have you considered the possibility that Scaleface could be Ian/Redshirtguy and that he would just be toying with us tho ?

A new class related to dragons I can see happening, 4th specs never, not with the current class system (although I will LOVE to be wrong).

Anyway, I am the only one that still has hopes for a WoW console version announcement with 10.0?
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

The implication has been that Evoker is just the name for the “Dragonsworn” class. Nothing beyond or less than that.

I’ll admit it’s a bit less cheesy than Dragonsworn.

Who ever “leaked” Evoker has been playing too many jrpgs lately.

Evoker hypothetically would be the dragon class it would just be a unique name and it gets bonus points for standing out. It probably is a good idea not to be too obvious with the name dragon imo. We have Dks (death knight) and Dh (demon hunter) so many D classes.

I can say with a strong amount of certainty that RSG is not the type. It would be so wildly out of character

I was wondering since he's the one who gave Scaleface some credits to begin with, with the tweet he made ? Idk why we are believing Scaleface tho

As someone pointed it out Venthyr => Dracthyr/Drakthyr just sounds bad.

I think people are thinking Evoker is the name of the dragon related class. Personally I do think we wouldnt see a class named Dragon Knight because Death Knights already exist and could get confusing with 2 classes that would probably be shorten down to DK. The main issue is we dont really have a good idea with what the class could be called. If it was invoker instead of evoker then I think that would has a higher chance but again who knows

RSG has been a member of Scrolls of Lore for well over a decade, though he comes and goes on the discord due to it's negativity.

    He is not the type.

Evoker sounds like a spec to me.
It became clear that it wasn’t realistic to try to get the audience back to being more hardcore, as it had been in the past. -- Tom Chilton

I'm not buying into it either. Even if it was a dragon-themed class (as it should be), I think Evoker sounds far too vague. Classes should have a name that makes it immediately clear what the class is all about. Dragonsworn, Dragon Knight, Dragon Tamer... Anything with the word "Dragon" in it basically.

Every single class we've ever had makes it very clear what it is from just reading the name. Imagine trying to explain Evoker to your friend.

A: What's Evoker? Is that like a mage?

B: No no, it's actually this really cool dragon class. They can breathe fire and transform into—

A: Then why is it called Evoker?

B: Well, they uhh... They evoke the flames. And dragon stuff... Yeah... Evoking all that.

the real problem for me is the vague nature of the evoker as a class: all the classes Blizzard added you know instantly what they do, be it a Monk (even if you only saw the one from Diablo 3) or DKs; this evoker/invoker class, on the other hand, what is its shtick, does it invokes the aspects? the elements? some other power?
Not saying it can't be true, only voicing some doubts I got

losing in translation for me, I immediately associated the Evoker to a summoner type of caster, one that can conjure or call creatures to aid him in battle

Why are you believing some guy on mmo champion who predicted 1 thing way back in Legion by pure luck?
