The files meta data says this same number 8171365

Flightrising "flight is rising" is the game where we find that 8171365 and that Dracthyr pet.

What could we do more for you then that ?

Well this is the first time since Legion that the announcement has been decoupled from Blizzcon, so Blizzard were able to chose whenever to announce it. Knowing that doesn't it make sense to announce it just before you begin testing instead of letting hype die down again?

That still doesnt really change that they are Horde, with all the aesthetics befitting that.
You still get Horde themed PvP gear. Your default capital is still Orgrimmar. You cannot choose to do Alliance levelling, or do Alliance version of raids like ICC or Dazar'alor.
And while this might not seem like a lot, it is still lingering in the back of your mind whenever you hit upon whatever small detail preventing you from actually playing a Alliance Nightborne.

The important thing is still guilds.
Sure, you can absolutely be a dedicated Nelf player who only ever raids with your Horde friends, and this would in theory work perfectly fine, but that doesnt really change that you cannot join the actual guild, or socialize in Orgrimmar, or do anything that an actual Horde player could do without any hassle.

That's why I said they will surely expand it and add either crossfaction guilds or make hall of fame community based with 10.0. Ion already said that 9.2.5 will be the first iteration of the crossfaction play to test the waters first.

I cant seem to find the original post, but IIRC to add to this the words in the picture are the key and the cypher is the name (if the key is EAKCAY) Since when you transfer E->A, K->C and A-> Drekthar becomes Dracthyr.

But on topic, I don't think its a red herring, I believe both the image and meta data is part of his presumed riddle leak. Could be that there is more to look into or whatever. Whatever it may be its fun to investigate

And to add to this, it is the first expansion to be announced outside of an in person event where they could have a playable demo (also weren't most initial alpha builds for testing just he demo that was at blizzcon months ago for recent expansions)

Could very well be, considering googling Dracthyr gets you both Drek'thars wowpedia entry and the Flight Rising site as top results.

Yeah I have a feeling Dracthyr might not necessarily be related to a race (too similar to Venthyr IMO) but either a zone or character. But then again the OP did say that we figured out what the class was so now he wants to give hints for race

You really think Blizz is making game changes just to piss off playerbase?

Some of them seems like they do, "fund detected fun nerfed" is something you see now and then, or, they ignoring feedback and only changing in the last patch, removing pvp vendors, removing flying, making loot harder so on so on.

The issue with covenant ARs is that Blizzard would need to make an AR for each covenant, and additionally make all of them neutral.

They don't need do all of then, neither make then neutral

Yeah, all factions help then, but the same thing happened in Legion, didn't stop blizz from not introducing vrykul, krokul or gilgoblin and they didn't made then neutral.

Tyrande and kaelthas make the bridge for the shadowland races, with the cross-faction gameplay there is no reason for then to be neutral anymore.

We might not get the races themselves, but counterparts like satyr.
If we do, though, I'd like the reasoning being that they're trying to keep the faction war going specifically because all the death means more anima.

There is no point in adding satyr when the covenant race is already there, ready with a more resonable excuse, as satyr are evil demonic elves corrupted, and i would be ok with something that just look like an elf but isn't rly.

The idea of they "joining the factions" is just like we "joined" then, they join us to help in the upcoming battles as a way of showing gratitute, plus, colecting anima, plus helping the mortal races means help against the void.

I'm conflicted about that: on one hand, the races look good and cool, on the other, I don't want to see them running around in Azeroth

They are no less worse than the abominations we already have, and we already spend a lot of time walking in shadowlands, might well let then come here

I’d be down for that for sure so long as the Drakonid form was somewhat more customizable.
