True, but I feel like their general size/shape/models are sufficiently different enough to be a separate race, but generally close enough that the allied race concept works for them. Zandalari don't use the same troll models and KT doesn't use the same human models.
Whereas for example both LF and Mechagnome would work really well mechanically and lore wise as customization options.
Even Mag'har, dark iron, etc use the same models/rigs as their regular orc and dwarf counterparts.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
Agree with most of this except that I would say KT were the only worthwhile Allied Race they added. Everything else felt half-assed.
I was never too big of a fan of recycling old skeletons for ARs (even though that was "the point") because part of the excitement of getting a new race was seeing what their animations looked like. How do they walk? How do they run? Do they do a weird spinny thing when they jump?
Reusing old skeletons only works for races like the Dark Iron Dwarves that are genuine "sub-races". But slapping old skeletons on completely new races like Vulpera, Zandalari, or Nightborne and calling them "Allied Races" felt lazy to me.
Still wish we could’ve gotten the skinny models for Kul Tirans.
But here’s hoping that if we get a dragon-based race like Drakonids we could at least get one more body type.
Like one being the big bulky one obviously, and the second being a skinnier model like DnD kobolds or Dragonmen from cata though with a new skeleton.
(Doubt it’ll happen though.)

A white dragonflight is entirely possible, it just won't be called "white dragonflight". It'd be some other synonym, just like the yellow flight isn't called the "yellow" dragonflight, it's called the "bronze flight".
Alabaster, Pearlescent, Silver, Ashen, Shadeless, Pale, Bone, Lunar, etc.
