Any idea how the actual announcement is going to be like?

I really hope its going to be similar to blizzcon where we would get the "Whats next" and "Deep dive" panels.

If its just like the 9.2 announcement i will be really dissapointed, where it was just a simple 10 min video

Since its on YT and Twitch it won't be anything as intricate as Blizzcon is with it's special layout, but they will probably go into details as well.

From what I know/have heard, it will be rather lengthy; however, I am hearing mixed signals as to whether it will be live (livestream) or pre-recorded (livestream).

Nozdormu will ask for help in resisting the whispers of the Void that will turn him into Murozond (it is confirmed that Nozdormu turns into Murozond due to Old God machinations). Vereesa, who has a history with dragons from the novel, will suggest her sister Alleria to aid him.

He became moruzond because of the whispers driving him to mess with his timeline

At this point he doesn’t need an elf because Wrathion made that potion remember?

My totally made-up predictions for the expansion reveal:

- World of Warcraft: Dragonflight
- new battleground in pre-patch
- new continent: the Dragon Isles (five new zones, each representing a dragon flight with the black dragon flight zone being max level)
- the Dragon Isles are between Northrend and Lordaeron
- Vrykul will make a return as an antagonist allied to the black dragon flight
- max-level zone will be entirely underground
- join a dragon flight and help them regain their aspect power (the 10.0 quest lines)
- each dragon flight gives you two powers (ability + transformation into a dragon flying mount) but these only work outdoors (not in instanced raids, dungeons and PvP)
- you can swap immediately without repercussions to other flights and continue their story line
- new raid with six bosses and a one-boss Onyxia/Sartharion-like raid
- time walking will always be on and on a two week rotation - completing five dungeons every two weeks gives you the bonus cache from the quest
- raid and PvP sets come in five different variants, each representing a dragon flight
- no big bad boss this expansion
- Ysera won't be in this expansion as she cannot leave Ardenweald, we travel back and forth to her
- Stormwind gets a new ruler
- flying once every explore achievement is done + at least one dragon flight questline

Let's see how far off I am from the actual features.

Wasn't it stated that Turalyon will replace Anduin?

I suggest everyone gets a good amount of sleep tonight. Announcement week starts tomorrow and as we all know the day before usually isn't one to not be paying attention. Don't forget to enjoy the ride, everyone!

I am so glad I ended up doing chat support for a new hire group at work this week because it gave me an hour long lunch beginning right at the start of the announcement AND I'm only answering questions for newbies over chat so I can keep an eye on this thread as much as I want to!

Just go back a few pages before the leak. If I remember well we just accepted our vampire overlords. It was San'layn, Darkfallen, Dark Ranger, all that jazz. Good times.

I loved those brief moments of people not shitting on the Darkfallen/San'layn/Dark Rangers. Such nostalgia! Much WoW!

What I Want: Rebuilding, Regrowth, and for the world to reflect the damage the Scourge is doing. Mixed bag of problems.
What I'll Get: Dragons.

New Races
What I Want: Darkfallen and Saberon
What I'll Get: A dragon race, while not what I want, isn't so bad.

New Class
What I Want: Dark Ranger and Necromancer
What I'll Get: A Dragon class which is better than no class at all.

Main Characters
What I Want: Anything but the boring gang. I try not to like any characters in WoW anymore because I no longer have faith that they'll be treated right.
What I'll Get: Thrall, Jaina, and the rest of the boring gang.

New Features
What I Want: Evergreen side content. More customization for all races, consistent baseline customization categories for all races, class skins/customization with a focus on racial flavor, more cosmetics, tameable furlines in multiple colors, ducks, peafowl and cheetah hunter pets, nice looking hunter tier sets, racial questlines for everyone, etc.
What I'll Get: Maybe two are three things I want, a couple surprises/things I didn't know I wanted, and new iterations of old systems.

I personally would not mind it being pre-recorded as long as it will be lengthy and filled with lots of info!

My guess is it will be pre-recorded and they play the recording during the livestream event. This is to avoid technical issues and, as far as I am aware, quite common.
