Because the orcs simply couldn't add on to things. Or they are retconning.

And to those that go "well its not shaped like an orc" I refer back to my quick comparison a few pages back to Saurfang from that Saurfang and Thrall cinematic, fairly similar proportions, I'd say.

Considering the architecture doesn't match anywhere we have been before, isn't it more likely to be a... new location?

I thought that was retconned to them having Grey skin because they spent so much time in Grim Batol?

Has blizz even established what type of orcs the gray Dragonmaw are even supposed to be? Are they Mag'har? Or are they cursed with Mannoroth's blood like regular orcs?

From what is hinted/implied, it was because they spend too much time around dragons/dragon magic, that affect their bodies, like when they used dragon bits to make bandages and other materials.

Sure they could, but if they did that i doubt they'd choose clean elven-looking architecture with engravings on it.

Could be. And it could not be.

I just gave Grim Batol as its a place we know orcs had Alexstrasza in the past. Just because Grim Batol hasn't looked like that before doesn't mean it is impossible for it to look that way either.

After even more detalled analysis, here are my options for who the orc in the picture is (because he is definitively an orc):

- A statue.
- Dragonmaw Orc (so flashback).
- Lightbound Garrosh (so Yrel invades Azeroth).
- Shadowlands Garrosh (I still believe that they brought him back for a reason).

I do not see any other viable options. But it will be a bit lame that Alextrasza let herself be captured for a second time, both for Blizzard (c'mon, be more original) and for Alextrasza (c'mon, learn something, you idiot).

Orcs don't adorn things with gold. Adornments look more similar to her horn jewelry than anything Orcish we've ever seen.

It's a cinematic. The models always look different than in game.

While there's no canon confirmation, you could easily have gray be a viable colour despite them drinking Mannoroth's blood. The AU Fel orcs are gray after all.

Standard cursed ones, that came from draenor, they were all green, but some of then changed to this color and had glowing eyes, probably because they used dragon magic

I'm going with flashback, with Alexstraza narrating it and waxing poetic about her life and struggles. Essentially indicating that she will be on the cover of the expansion, and the art depicting her and the logo is definitely real.

Alexstraza being the main character is..... interesting.

Au draenor is a mess, but we know for sure dragonmaw were normal green when they cross the black portal, they only became grey recently, plus, glowing red/yellow eyes, that, seems draconic
