9.2 shows that gameplay is not the issue for people as much as story, setting and non-raid content.

Pretty much all three of those things were the killers for me. Primarily story (and story presentation). I'm still mad that I originally would have had to either do it on alts or nerf myself to go through all 4 covenant stories to see the full picture.

The men are going to have the proper musculature and posture people expect from a dragon. I think people are just hung up on the feminine form.

Give it Alexstraza, Chromie, and Deathwing's HotS specs, mechanics, and abilities, give it a flight form, and improve the general quality of the model, and I'll give it a whirl.

They were empowered by the titans. Only the Blue dragonflight uses Arcane. It wouldn't make any sense for an entire dragon class to be arcane-based.

And the Titans are arcane creatures: Eonar is not Life, she uses Life. They are Arcane creatures and therefore the Aspects are arcane creatures, even if their origins are Life, and 3/5 of them (as was just mentioned) are spellcasters. 2/5 of those use explicitly Arcane spells (time and regular "building block" arcane)

You don't hold any weapons or have any armor in the character creation screen. You also don't have a unique background.



This whole argument doesn't make sense. You can't even see if the red one has armor or not, and theres no reason the blue one WOULD have armor or weapons... it's character creation!!

But we can see on the other picture the red dragon is in combat and also not wearing armor.

As weird as it sounds, I am most excited to see the revamped/redone UI, the fonts it uses, drop shadows (hopefully well-rendered ones that scale and stand out better), organization things like more thorough metadata on transmog items, including the splitting all sets into groups for easy finding. Hopefully we will also see the return of a more in-depth array of UI settings that we've had to rely on addons like AdvancedInterfaceOptions to use since Legion.

True but many dragons seem to have a predeliction for being mages in "human" or "mortal" form. Chromie dresses as one (Bronze), Kalec is one (obviously- he's blue), even Krasus/Korialstrasz (Red) was a mage of the Kirin Tor. I wouldn't be suprised if whatever class we get, if they limit it, is focused on the magic aspect. Though I am hoping for a more general Dragonsworn/Dragonborn class.

See Chromie, Alexstraza, and Deathwing HotS. Blizzard already has dragon-based abilities lined up and ready to go for a Dragon class. There's no need to milk Arcane dry for ability concepts when everything is ready to go.

As for these dragon forms, after seeing what some other posters have posted in terms of what they want the dragon races to look like, I'm QUICKLY warming up to the Blizzard model.

That's kind of my thinking is that it's a really elaborate and pretty well done personal server edit. The talent tree I like but it looks straight lifted from PoE or Grimdawn and I dont really think it's a move Blizz would want to make.

That said there was the tweet by the UI guy that was stoked to see people's reaction and this would fit with that but rn that's a chicken and the egg scenario to me.

Man, its a completly new race (racial or combat form) for all we know they decided to make it completly bare for whatever reason, it is super early alpha footage, etc.

Just because it didnt happen in the past it doesnt mean it doesnt happen in the future. There have been a lot worse ideas in other Games that still made it.

Look, if that dragon is real, and that's what we're getting, and it looks that stupid in motion and higher quality...

...if there is one thing I demand it's that they fucking rework Meta form to have the new Dreadlord/Stoneborn animations and function as a flying form. If not allow for unlocking wings full-time to finish the Illidan fantasy. Bonus points for transmog boots that serve as basically hoof replacements for feet.

No more excuses. At least let something decent come out of this.
