Guys staaahp I'm consistently 30 pages behind no matter how much I merely skim!
DRAGONMIRE BINGO2024 - 11.0 - The 10th Expansion - The 20th Anniversary of World of WarcraftFor Azeroth!
It looks cheap. This is a far cry from the quality of any other race Blizzard has ever made and it's also pretty obvious that it's using the Female DH Metamorphosis skeleton.
It's a good model edit for sure, props to whoever made it, but it's not real. I refuse to believe it.
...froooom?
Do they have the alpha? Allegedly this stuff was from like a text document with primer stuff. And that's what Blizz sent?
When we saw Demon Hunters/pandaren/monks/goblins/worgen/death knights/allied races for the first time, it wasn't in Stormwind.
Just seems super weird to me.
Looking at it now, I think that architecture is also familiar. It almost looks like a mix of Bastion and Legion's Broken Isles architecture. The orange-and-ivory look is familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. I am absolutely certain I ahve seen something like that before, down to the orange highlights and even the spines.
They are evoking the power of the dragons/dragonflights. I think people read way too hard into the fact that "evocation" is a magey-arcane sort of thing in wow and D&D and forget that "evoke" is just its own word. Most of the Evoker NPCs in the game are evoking strange magic (many of the drust caster NPCs are Evokers). I think they wanted something short and punchy, that was clearly a caster. So they opted not to go the dragon<thing> route and instead establish a new class identity in the vein of mage or warlock.
It's typical mmo-c circlejerk where no possible middle ground can exist.
No simple "i don't like it" or "this just isn't my thing" but a whole lot of "this it the worst thing to have ever been created by mankind, it's blasphemy against the gods and i will take it personally"
