"improved" is a strong word to be used here...
ITs definitely changed...
PossibleNefarian couldn't nail down the wings or them being able to use magic. If Wrathion completed his research he could make a dragon/human hybrid that can actually use magic and is a lot more attractive.
The point here is that in those instances the race came first and they didn't start reusing their rigs in the same expansion for random mobs.
Also, I'm curious, which pets use rigs of playable races? And also how many of them were added to the pet first and then to the playable race as an afterthought?
Lol okay but by that logic, WHY THESE?
Why not Vrykul, Taunka, Ogres/Moknathal, or any of the races that have been asked for repeatedly by THOUSANDS of people yearly? How does this off-the-wall race that looks like it's meant for a VERY NICHE crowd get the "we need to save the game" badge and not the Ol' Reliables?

Absolutely. That's a Worgen Female screenshot with a Metamorphosis reskin as the model shown. The ability screenshot has the shadows going the entire wrong way on the dragon with the ability not even in the same zip code as where the dragon would attack with it. The talent screen looks cool, but there isn't a real rhyme or reason to the layout displayed, so it's hard to know what talents you are actually getting if any.
I'd like to believe, but this just ain't it from what I can tell. Which means tomorrow will be much more of an exciting surprise.
WoW lore races like Vrykul/Taunka are not "save the game races" because they require knowing the game, as opposed to a race that brings in new players. I am not even sleighting those races: the idea behind a "save the game race" is that it has appeal for both new fans and old fans, which I assume is the idea behind this race if it is real.
A normal who doesn't know the game isn't going to sub over ogres, taunka or vrykul because they don't look that visually interesting or novel. This thing? Absolutely does.
