Some people have no imagination. They only say no because old talent trees weren't that good and have no capacity to see how you can take that as a baseline and improve on it.

I would say Rift's talent trees and even some aspects of the Shadowlands soulbinds had cool aspects to them and they are some form of talent trees.

I don't personally care about player housing, but when I see people say they want it, you get similar folks saying "garrisons were bad". They probably only ever play WoW and can't see past that iteration of the system.

In my experience, the only thing the average WoW player finds more evil than wanting things streamers nor Blizzard have indicated being good things are players wanting new things.

On Azeroth, perhaps. But arcane magic is just a manifestation of the primal force of Order. Titans had magic long before anything lived on Azeroth and, as I said earlier, before they had discovered Azeroth.

Edit P.S.: And as someone pointed out after me, all primal forces have their own forms of magic. All of which surely existed long, long before Night Elves or Trolls.

so two screenshots now of a new talent system, one allegedly floating around a "guild discord", if we were to debunk to the images where would we start? There is a lot of HQ art in that screenshot and design. Can anyone remember a previous leak trying to pass off something similar?

Generally, that's how real leaks work. People probably ought to keep that in mind whenever they start congregating around someone. The fact that the poster proceeded to bother to argue against the perceived nitpicking and mock it is pretty evident that they were making things up, because every confirmed leak thus far has been by a throwaway account created specifically to post it who stopped posting after they posted their leak.

Nobody says this is the version we'll see tomorrow, or if we do, potentially just a dev build. I imagine anything we'll be shown will be as smoothed out as possible.

Trying to nitpick about any possible minor things you see on a blurry, low res image is not "debunking it"; people found minor pixel issues with the Bolvar image. Clipping happens in the game. Weird artefacting happens. You're just going to have to wait.

Actually thinking this is some Scalie conspiracy is some chief cope

Also, I can see Convoke on the bottom right. Baseline Covenant abilities?

I don't have the exact page to hand, but in one of the 9.2 interviews Ion all but referred to Convoke by name in one of his answers about borrowed power staying on, something to the effect of 'we're listening very closely when players say they enjoy shooting spirits out of their hands'.

Convoke is almost guaranteed, though if that screenie is to be believed it might be resto only - interesting way of balancing it.

Every one of my characters has an obscure Tolkien name. Uncommon ones with all the different letters and accent marks, not so much Xxxlegolasxxx .

I remember Ro9ue doing a very convincing Dragon Knight mockup shortly after the Bolvar image leaked.

"Minor pixel errors" is different from "obvious model errors". This is on a 3d, modeling level. This can't be excused away with image errors.

Secondly, I'm not saying it's a "Scalie conspiracy". I'm saying it does possibly originate from some kind of Scalie modeler because the face looks exactly like something you'd expect from them.

Yeah, this. Frankly I struggle to imagine any animator or sculptor without access to official tools making a model like that.

They where tasked to oversee and complete the Living World Process, their magical abilities are beyond we have met and beyond the known Forces. They predate the KirinTor and you will find out that all Magic started there.

Isn't it a given that they predate the Kirin'tor when you are talking about something that predates the Old Gods arriving on Azeroth? Also pretty sure if the Dragons were around at that time they would have become servants of the Old Gods just as the Elementals did. Which means none of what you said is true or Blizzard is ignoring almost all of their existing lore for some reason.

That Stormwind spirits image from Shadowlands leaks comes to mind. Looked high quality & kind of cool, but was totally fake.

It was so hilarious watching people debunk that. So many were convinced it was the body from some character in a fighting game with the lich king helm photoshopped on top.

The entire time I just kept thinking, "no, it's pretty obviously real."
