Surely that dragon race is an allied race if it looks like that right? The skeleton looks so much like the Worgen one.

It's not a "new" race.

It's the "meta form" of the new class. You can only play this new class that way.

but tbh just wait for tonight and be disappointed because of no new classes

Just out of general curiosity - is anyone here actually excited by this Dragon-humanoid race? I haven't followed the expansion hype until today, but I can't recall that ranking very high on wish lists in the way that Worgen/Goblins/Bloo Elves were. (Although I doubt Pandaren were on most people's radar before Mists)

I just don't feel any excitement about it at all

I am. I've been wanting a dragon themed class/race since Vanilla.

Yes, I am considering changing my main (Warrior Velf) or primary alt (Mage velf) to it since both are velves an I need at least one char of each race.

Will ofc level one normally first for heritage before i decide

Good catch. The background on these concepts is definitely the same that the "leak" used, but I can't find that specific one in the thread.

FWIW, these are the official backgrounds used for the character customization previews that Blizz does too. Simaia said it isn't them that made this specific leak as well.

Simaia made another fake leak earlier in the leak season so this could be just them messing with us again.

You know what i think? Dragons will turn out to be Wild Gods, making them part of the Loa repertoire and therefore part of the Shadow Hunter. That's how a witchy\afterlife Evoker lines up with Dragons.

There have been evoker NPCs since vanilla, that doesn't mean anything.

"Evoker" just indicates that you are a spellcaster that evokes a type of magic.

Interesting! Although I do wager people who played Vanilla may have been a little more exposed to Drakonid humanoids, given their presence in the memorable raids in Blackrock Spire.

I suppose since the Dragonflights often had Drakonid guards and that they lorewise are regular mortals ascended by the Dragonflights, perhaps that's exactly what we're getting? Dragonflights need help, so they ascend some of us to Drakonid form

DH/DK no because story reasons. Monk no because budget reason. The rest I wouldn't rule out because they can make it all work if they want but in the same way to could arbitrarily say no warriors.

Hmm, I must have missed that tweet. But they could also be lying to keep the train going for a while longer since their first leak was dismissed so quickly. Had no idea these backgrounds were also used in the official previews though.

Yeah and if we wouldn’t have gotten the Dragonflight leak two weeks ago the hype would have been 1/10 of what it is now, at best. A leak was clearly helping getting the pages.
