Truth be told, a Tinker would be better for the health and wellbeing of WoW than a completely unknown spell-caster class that cannibalizes Mages and Druids.

honestly, I don't see why that model couldn't wear armor. Well, aside from the head and wings, that is. Most of WoW's armor is textures stretched over a body and a small fraction is textures stretched over a body with a plate or two glued to/hovering above a part of the body.

Ignoring the tail and wings, it's basically as complicates as making armor for worgen.

If that's the route they wanted to take then it would been better to just make tied to a class only and give them a bunch of customizations that mirror Alex, Ysera, Kalec etc. I assume that's the fantasy most people are after at this point.

They didn't even do that for Worgens 10 years ago why would they do it now? Worgens actually look much more annoying to put armor on than this "dragon".

Probably because they are giving us humans with horns and cramming a drakonid type race onto it in an attempt to make it unique.

I was hoping that this reveal wouldn’t have any controversies but I see how this is going to go down.

The race is a new OC that are drakes that got close to arcane and evolved into more humanoid deals with elves/humanoid forms. It’s 100% based on Au Ra and because of this its going to have a lot of casual appeal while annoying each and every oldhead that wanted any of the other races.

The race is a stand-in for dragons and one of the iconic bits of wow dragons is that they can shapeshift into mortals.

Well yes, but this is very much not the dragons we are used to.
What we have now are proper full size dragons that use a smaller humanoid form to interract with smaller beings.
This is very much not that, so I don't really get why they wouldn't just stay in this form all the time.

Except it isn't a minor one. We have three races that utilize the concept, two faction leaders that are Tinkers, a WC3 and HotS hero who are Tinkers, and multiple areas in Warcraft lore that revolve around the concept.

Also please don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say Blizzard is taking a huge risk by ONLY not implementing Tinkers, I said they would be taking a huge risk implementing unknown race and class concepts over KNOWN and demanded for race and class concepts. The Tinker isn't the only item included in that.

No one cares about Tinker. Genuinely. Would rather have a reason to play a caster.

Not just the Tinker, you're right. Any of your class concepts because only you know what Blizzard is going to add, only to be disappointed again.

Like I said, three named NPC's are a minor presence.

Nah, Tinkers don't share any abilities or concepts with either of those classes.

And DHs were impossible until Warlocks lost Metamorphosis. I doubt Blizzard wants to repeat that mistake by bringing out a class that begins removing abilities from the Mage and Druid classes.
