Making something look good should always take top priority over any "realism."

Also WoW has never had a genderless race before for what I feel is a good reason, it really just isn't appealing. It essentially halves any sort of features or customization.

Based off of what they've shown it feels very difficult to make a distinctive character, let alone one that feels personal at all. Only being able to be elf or human in the mortal form is also pretty terrible. If they were going to make the dragonform have a uniform appearance, I would expect the plethora of features to be put into their other appearance. But right now its just losses and no gains.

Such limitations should not exist.

And to be completely clear, I have zero issues with androgyny or non-binary folk, and I also admit that WoW has had a bad problem with sexual-dimorphism, that being said this is a leap in the wrong direction and completely ruins the race for me.

I don't know, I think it's a fairly fine idea. I think that if the design is good enough in-game, it probably supersedes any irritation from the lack of dimorphism. I'm cautiously optimistic. Besides, there's at least the cool humanoid forms.

I do wonder what forms they can take, though. On the website I see a Blood Elven and Human form.

It seems very odd there was nothing 9.2.5 would spoil.

Tbf, maybe 9.2.5 is meant to have its own hooks and spoilers to keep people invested until 10.0 comes out.

I agree but the presentation AND the written article both say they harness the power of all five flights then omit one. Also weird that they make the Red Dragons, AKA the Life Binders, part of DPS and the more offensive Bronze’s part of the healing spec.

I assume due to the new talent system black will be a part of the base class tree.

I think the lore would be the most important factor. If the lore is cool, I'll do them. If they're glorified Drakonids, probably not.

First off, props to Scaleface, his leaks were right on the money, though I’m happy he got some parts wrong.

Anyway, I’m happy that the Dragon class is also a race. I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t make the healing spec red-based. I am happy that they’re using some concepts and abilities from HotS, but I’m disappointed that they didn’t use standard dragon forms, but I suppose due to size issues the more humanoid models make sense.

I’m VERY disappointed that there’s no third spec. There’s really no excuse for a two spec class when there’s five dragon flights.

I hope the dragon form can fly. Im not sure they revealed that. Also the Dragon Isles look great. So mixed emotions right now. Kind of sucks when you feel like your idea is better than what Blizzard ultimately came up with.

Evoker was being touted as an arcane mage clone, not as class that merges the Five Dragon flights into two specs. Also, the name of it is a Dracthyr Evoker, which pretty much means Dragon Evoker. So it still has that hero class “D__” thing going on. You push Dragon Evoker, I believe it. You push a mage clone called Evoker, I call BS.

Its pretty spot on what I find really stupid about the class/race.

I dont want to be a scrawny little lizard. I want to be bulkier. Essentially you're a female dreadlord with that rig and its horrible.

You literally become less buff than a Blood/Void Elf. Caster or not that is hella lacking.

Where did you get that? Scaleface said it shared a name with a mage spell and, I believe, that it was a magic user.

At least we can put the "All classes have to be from WC3" to bed.
