Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

I too am underwhelmed. Thankfully I'm strictly a Classic player these days.
The new class is so random. Like @Teriz said, 2 specs for such a class that utilizes all the dragonflights is inexcusable. The new class being locked to one race and that new race not having ANY other class choices is further proof of how out of touch these "developers" are.
New features aside, there are so many simple features that could have easily boosted player enthusiasm.
Such as:
New race/class combos
New heritage sets
Showcase of new spells for existing classes!!!
A new profession
New BGs
Guild Halls
Class Skins
New classes (Tinkers, Dark Rangers, Necromancers etc) and new races (Mogu, Sethrak, Arrakoa, Ethereals etc) that people have ACTUALLY asked for
The only things that interested me was a new class (random as it might be) and the modern take on old talent trees.

I assume the preorders are being gated behind reveal of the 9.2.5 AR (99% going to be Darkfallen at this point), and that AR may not be finished for some time.
Also something cool I noticed in an interview:
Dracthyr can do Dragon Riding with their own wings!“The Dracthyr are going to be able to participate in the dragonriding system and mechanics too,” Graham confirms. “Dracthyr have wings so they get to fly and they use the same style of momentum and gravity that dragonriding drakes do. During their starter experience, you get introduced to the new mechanics with tutorials and all that stuff. Heading into building the expansion, knowing that we wanted to create this feature, we had to set up the environment to match. I've only gotten to see it myself recently and it shocked me how much it brought me into the world. Being engaged in the act of moving around while flying is very different for WoW, and made me see the environment in a new way."

It may be wishful thinking, but I find myself wondering if we might actually get a tanking spec for this class partway through the expansion. The main flight for tanking would seem to be the Black Dragonflight, yet the presentation made it sound like there was a lot of issues that the Black Dragonflight was going to start off partially weak & decimated from what happened to Deathwing & Wrathion's followup purge. I could see a (probably unlikely) case where once those issues are resolved, a spec is introduced that focuses more on the Black Dragonflight & tanks.
As is, definitely a missed opportunity at best. A dragon tank would be fantastic to have & the evoker abilities look like they could support a dragon tank, plus there really isn't a good lore reason not to have one that I can think of.

Wait a second, does this mean the one poster with a night elf avatar who correctly leaked stuff, accidentally messed up and confirmed that one fake image but deleted it, and it looked like he/she really meant it was real, or were they just trolling?![]()
I don't really see why primal dragons would have a perfectly tailored leather duster for my hunter to wear, which would be my ideal class set, and this does look like it convincingly got scrounged up from inside whatever raid.
It's a difficult balancing act I guess. You want class identity, but also for it to look like the items actually came from the raid. Why for instance I got a naga head from two hellhounds in Antorus is a good example.
The world revamp dream will never die!
I am disappointed by the fact that the isles aren't flying.
But at least its compensated by how good the isles look.

The announcement failed to hype me up.
The cinematic was nothing exceptional, even kind of boring(still miles better than SL, though).
The new class looks very promising(especially with this new *hold button to power up* kind of gameplay), but I really, really dislike the new race that it's tied to.
New zones seem more grounded, which is a plus in my book. I'm also quite curious about that Titan construction seen in the cinematic.
The talents, UI and professions stuff doesn't really matter to me that much. Just meh.
The biggest plus, for me, is cross-faction play. I've been waiting for that for sooooo long, even if nothing else appeals to me, I'll buy and play the expansion for this feature alone.
Kind of sucks that we'll very likely have to wait quite a while till it's released.
unclench your jaw

Not exactly, but can you tell which class is which without being told? Absolutely not.But nearly all the early tier sets looked like they were from the raid but also made the class look unique.
I like the fact that this lets you mix & match pieces from the raid for your armor type like real clothing.
But otherwise there's like zero "class identity" here.
