I'm far too lazy to re-read the ausgamers article but I think it said something to that effect, getting more quest lines as you get more renown with the given rep.

Yes, and being able to progress them all at the same time is a plus

But yeah seems to me more like its gonna be supplementary to reputations and similar cosmetic rewards like Covenants, and perhaps even quests.

Tbh I would like it if they added reputation questlines to progress all stories more after initial leveling (in SL you could do it but only for your covenant until the made swaping easier)

The way it seemed from that article was that it was basically what I figured covenants should ideally be. Beefier reputations with extra cosmetics, zone upgrades, and questlines tacked on top. All timegated behind the Renown system so you couldnt level them all as fast as someone sticking to just one.

Thank god I always avoided that MMORPG like the Plaque. I know fully why.

It's clearly a mod, let's not pretend WoW players aren't equally as degenerate, the game's engine just sucks for proper modding.

I feel more connection with that one stone guy than I did with anybody in the Shadowlands.

I hated the Shadowlands cinematic so much I never re-watched it. It was obvious from the beginning how it was going to play out and I liked it even less than that. Sylvanas doing an ""epic"" monologue at the end was the cherry on top.

Meanwhile, I was immediately invested in that watcher as soon as he looked sad about his dead friends. And then he fell and I was waiting for someone to save him, and then the dragons came flying in and I was incredibly excited.

Half the people in this thread probably never saw the things people would do back when we could mod WoW like that. Humanity is just degenerate in general.

Ok, I'm finally back from re-re-re-re-re-watching the reveal, and it was awesome. Could it have been more? Yes of course, but Dragonflight won't be the last Expansion so we can still get stuff like the revamp, housing or class skins down the line.

Have we talked about the Dragonriding system already? Initially I was a bit nervous because as a primary mount collector I fear it will kinda loose the collecting aspect. That said, the website said we can have all 4 different types which is kinda cool, and if the cosmetic unlocks are accountwide and every of my chars can have their own 4 different drakes I'll be happy! Just hoping stuff like colours isn't locked behind pvp elite content (I'm fine with armour though!).

We also have Worgen and Vulpera. I don't think Scalies will make it any worse. The only reason I specifically dislike the Scalie aspect is because of how similar this whole thing sounds to a Scalie OC or something. They're all Deathwing's top-secret super soldier program bred to use all the powers of the Dragonflights at once, which really sounds exactly like a Scalie thing. Add to this that they're shapeshifters who turn into anime people. That, and their faces just look exactly like Scalie art to me. The black Drakthyr in the preview even looks like he has the sneering smirk every edgelord OC does from that perspective—think Coldsteel the Hedgehog.

I'd be so much more receptive to Evokers if they just had a Melee or tank spec. I'm really not a fan of playing Ranged or healing.

Mentioned that about another picture with one in but that was from the rear side quarter. This one from the front looks better.

I'd seriously have taken tuskarr and more races and no drakthyr or evoker for this expansion.

I wasn't here during the announcement, but what is the general consensus for the cinematic?

I personally LOVED it and loved how the narration and it being more world centric than the previous few was (and no fighting going on like last 3)
