I think he was just riding off the coattails of Scaleface - this got posted AFTER his leaks. That said, could be real. The date is probably bogus, but I could see darkfallen customization for sure. - Mostly because of the quest updates, the Lordaeron stuff, and the fact that the Sylvanas novel updated the lore on them. The covenant is another thing he got wrong, though. Interviews mentioned renown replacing rep, but nothing about covenants.

Well after watching all the information available ATM, Dragonflight is definitively a step in the right way.
I really like everything that we have seen, although I am worried about class balance with so many talents, it has to be a nightmare for them; also, Dragon riding, it could be very fun or very annoying.
Sadly, no console version, so I am afraid that I will not be able to play it![]()
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
I don't want to come here just to spoil the mood, but I feel a bit obligated to at least share my opinion since I disappeared last week and said I'd come back after the announcement.
Well, I was unfortunately vindicated that I would enjoy discussing dragon expansion leaks far more than actually getting one. I've felt more offended by an expansion announcement before (Battle for Azeroth's felt upsettingly hypocritical, pushing pro-faction war marketing immediately after celebrating unity in the community), but I can say with no hesitation that I've never felt more apathetic about an expansion. I might even have actually have preferred therewillbedragon's fake to this.
Unlike Shadowlands, I don't even have the new customization and new leveling to look forward to. I recently finished up a goal I had in game that was hanging over me, and after I did so I found myself uninterested in doing anything else. I hoped the expansion would change that, but it didn't. I legitimately feel no drive to come back for this at all. It would be liberating if it wasn't so disappointing.
For anyone who might be thinking "everyone says that, but we know you can't stay away", know that I've stayed away for long stretches before. One of my longest was probably from the beginning of Legion to the lead-up to Shadowlands (between the time-gating of Legion burning me out, and my vehement disinterest in Battle for Azeroth's marketing), and I was still excited about a lot of things then, I just didn't feel they were worth the stress.
I will note, however, that I am saying this based on the information we have right now and understand that things can change. Every expansion has its surprises. If I recall, even the Shadowlands customization was something they were weirdly coy about until beta really showed the true extent of it. If we get a ton more customization again, or more Allied Races mid-expansion, or news about Heritage Armor, or class skins, or long-requested race-class combinations, or any of the things that grab my attention and keep me playing, then I'll gladly change my opinion.
I can't get over how underwhelmed I am for the Dracthyr and Evoker. Tying them together is just a big huh? from me. maybe they thought nobody would want to play them with that model so had to tie Evoker to them only. And raid teams will definitely want evokers as they will probably be busted until 10.3
