Back home from work, saw the cinematic.

Feels sandbox-ish and no strings attached like MoP. Grand villain likely to be found out later.

As for selling points, my stance remains the same: talent trees revamp and professions overhaul. 0 interest in the new race/class. The race just feels personally foreign. Feels like Blizzard saw FF (temporary) growth in popularity and decided to cash in on all their weird races.

Ah yes, if it can't work in HotS, it can't work in any game, especially not a game with a dramatically different combat mechanism.

Truly the most intellectual of arguments.

Dadgar is back and more: No AP confirmed, Dragon Isles is NE of Azeroth/EK and there will be minor changes to EK/Kalimdor (specific mention of Forsaken stuff, which might be the 9.2.5 Lordaeron scenario).

It's still weird, they could just instance their intro experience.
It's a hero class after all.

They basically shot themselves in the foot with not including it as a regular zone.

I would be a lot more receptive if there was a Tank spec.

The only Ranged spec I like playing is Balance Druid. I really hope the DPS spec of Evoker can pull me in as I so desperately want to main one of these Dragon guys.

Well HotS is where the structure of the class comes from. That said, standing in melee range slashing and clawing doesn’t seem very dragon like, especially given the appearance of the Dracthyr. Also melee doesn’t really work with flying attacks.

I really feel that the concept works best at range.

North East huh? Kalimdor and EK getting ever closer on the world map.

Currently, Dragonflight Mythic+ Season 1 is expected to feature 4 dungeons from the new expansion and 4 old dungeons. In Season 2, there will be a rotation with 4 other Dragonflight dungeons and 4 other old dungeons. Those of Shadowlands will undoubtedly be put aside because they are too recent.

    interesting

Yeah, the lack of a tank spec is definitely a flaw, ngl.

This is a Dragon. It is a dangerous animal that immediately looks powerful and intimidating. It appears vicious and uncompromising.

Conversely, I could stick my hand in this thing's mouth and it wouldn't bite down.
This is a trend since Mists of Pandaria, look what they did with the undead in recent expansions.

But it's not a bad thing, WoW is cartoonish and must cater to many audiences as possible.

BTW, it's coming from a former Pandaren hater, that complained the whole of 2012 about how MOP looked like an out-of-season April fools joke.

Didn't they make the Wrathion I just showed in Battle for Azeroth? It seems superfluous as an alteration. I figure that there's plenty enough to advertise "cool Dragons" as opposed to "furry fanfic lizards".

    Oh no.

You saying this is giving me Tanaan Jungle vibes.

I hope it isn't lazily added as a patch zone.

    The structure of what class?
We've seen 4 moves, one of which is a healing circle that detonates, like Alex. One of which is a wing buffet (which has been in WoW since Dragons were in the game (read: Vanilla). It was adapted for use in HoTS. It's got a drive by fire from the sky, like Onyxia (also Vanilla and adapted for HotS) and a AoE fire ball move.
Two of those were adapted to HotS from WoW, not backwards.

You're still complaining about her getting a look more in line with her actual disposition. And, as far as i'm concerned, far overblowing the actual difference.

The black Dracthyr looks the best by far, probably dances good too. Figures.

Let's say fair enough, it does fit her personality. However, it nevertheless seems awkward to represent the overall alteration of the Draconic species. You can also see the same alteration in Malygos, who does have a friendly disposition yet is generally more prone to provide a violent solution to problems than Alexstrasza is. You can also see that the Drakes look awkwardly soft in the flying preview—it seems to be an endemic issue.

Well, the Dracthyr ARE Neltharian's "furry fanfic lizards" since he created them.

Fair enough. They are canonically Neltharian's edgy original characters.

I love this. I would totally play a drakthyr mage in perma human form.
