You're right about not seeing a female yet but that's definitely the Worgen skeleton. Gnolls already had a limited rigging, (seen used up until just last expansion) but these Dragon Isles Gnolls suddenly have longer arms & legs to accommodate the Worgen skeleton.
Tuskar, Gnolls & Centaur: If I had to pick two for allied race candidates I'd choose the two that can ride a mount.
My personal hope is that if she is a final villain that will segue into the next expac where we will get maybe time travel? Well of Eternity in ancient Kalmidor following in Krasus and Rhonin's footsteps woudl totally be something I could see this dev team doing (ie: horrible narrative but interesting gameplay, at least in their view). Then we get to fight Legion again... and Azshara... and Azshara the Nelf queen. And face the Nelf Empire at its height, or at least the Highborne.
I'm not for time travel again but could see them doing it. Would be a crazy 10th expac.
Why was stuff like this not in the presentation lol

Malfurion is made out to be basically a god in mortal (well, Nelves weren't but still) form in the books and is the weakest character ingame. It's kinda sad.
I would be very if get Nagas, after all the events of Nzoth, some Nagas may feel disappointed by Azshara.
Hum... anybody else getting booted to page 2617 when they click on 2623?
