The presentation today is kinda odd, looking at it.

    - Most of the pictures of the dragon race human form come from the press kit
    - The concept tier sets come from press kit
    - The concept map for the entire dragon isles comes from the press kit
    - Important info like MAIN CHARACTERS and VILLAINS revealed in interviews

    And

    - no release window
    - no pre orders

It feels like they must have a part 2 planned soon, right? Kinda weird.

More just they are trying to differentiate this from previous expansions having Alliance and Horde military expeditions lead the charge. I would not expect any significant systems to have been held back from the announcement when they are going to have the most eyes on the expansion.

By the way, Steve Danuser revealed that the stone dude's name is Watcher Koranos (as well as that his face is apparently modeled after Brian Holinka).

Apparently there are Trolls this expansion... the earliest trolls ever.

"It’s that familiarity and wonder at the same time. It’s hard to capture, but it’s something we’re focusing on. Across the zones, you’ll meet Centaur clans, primordial Trolls, or even revisit the Tuskarr. It’s a nice balance between the “new” and “familiar”."

If those 4 "bonus" talents have to have points allocated to them, then there is 67.
There's supposed to be some fundamentals you get automagically depending on your chosen spec (which makes sense, as the class tree includes base spec abilities) without spending points. So probably 60 or 59 or something. Which fits the old standard of talents starting at level 10.

Considering how much people have hated faction lore characters in SL it makes 100% sense to leave them out of marketing aside from the dragons.

I feel like if alpha was soon they would have said so though right? Its gotta be at least a month or two away.

My guess is since it isn't even in Alpha they aren't sure what they want to cut or will cut, so they are not showing too much less it turns into a dance studio or garrisons in any zone again. Now as to why they are so far behind when they cut shadowlands to make this... IDK

Well, there's definitely 63 talent points allocated in the picture. So unless they were in some sort of god mode where they could allocate as many as they want, there's at least 63.

I also kinda got the impression that it's still quite far away based on the way John said it. If it was coming sooner, I feel like they would have capitalized on that with a big "see you in the Alpha... in two weeks!" or something.

I wonder if the following will show up or be touch upon:
    -Wrath proto-drakes
    -the dragonflayers
    -the dragonmaw
-and outland drakes of black and netherflight
    -Sabellian
    -Thorignir

I counted 31 class, 30 spec. There's 2 freebies for both resto and balance to start your class tree off. 61 points would equal 1 per level starting at 10.

That's what i meant. You get a few free depending on your spec. Watch the deep dive.

I don't really care for PvP but WoD is the only expansion where I genuinely enjoyed it. If they manage to bring it closer to what it was like back then, then I might dabble in it a bit in 10.0.

I have always the same problem after every expansion reveal... Logging into current WoW feels so "old" I just want to play the new expansion.

Ahh, no, I watched it. I just missed that part. I was confused where you were comin from on the first one

Out of curiosity, since an actual Dragon class is out of the picture and some people seem not to like the Evoker very much, would anybody want me to conceptualize a proper Dragon class just to see what could've been or if it would've been viable?

Any speculation on the Allied Race we're getting for pre-order?

Most likely candidates imho, in order:

    > Kyrians & Venthyr (neutral)
    > Kyrians (Alliance) & Venthyr (Horde)
    > Kyrians, Venthyr, Sylvar (neutral)
    > Tuskarr (Neutral)
    > Gnolls (Neutral)
    > Tuskarr (Alliance) & Gnolls (Horde)
    > Dracthyr "human" forms

Idk, I'm not sold on any of the ideas. Could be something totally unexpected.

    - The Primalists are closer to proto-drakes in appearance and I'm pretty sure at least one of the mount types for Dragon Riding was a proto-drake.

    - No idea, they didn't mention anything about Vrykul in the preview. In fact, I feel like we didn't reslly get enough info on the denizens of the Dragon Isles. We heard about Tuskarr, centaurs, gnolls, and furbolgs... But surely there are other races native to the isles too, right?

    - The Dragon Isles have been hidden for 10K years so I doubt it. The Dragonmaw came to Azeroth like 35 years ago in the canon so I doubt we'll see any on the isles. Might some of their remnants sail to the isles to try to recapture their glorious past of Red dragon enslavement? Maybe, but I doubt it.

    - I don't think so but that would be cool.

    - I hope so! That was actually one of the predictions I had on my bingo card. They mentioned that there might be some competition for Wrathion in terms of who leads the Black dragonflight, so we'll have to see who that is. Some said it was referring to Ebonhorn but I think Sabellian makes more sense.

    - Don't think so. They felt like a fairly minor off-shoot that was native to the Broken Isles and therefore not super relevant to the overall lore of the dragons.

I doubt it. I highly doubt we'll get the Shadowlands races as Allied Races. It seems like they might be building up Darkfallen, but that means we'll have three new elf races this expansion on top of the numerous, numerous others.
