I just really hate how Dracthyr and Evokers are locked to each other. It just feels so unnecessary.

Why not have Dracthyr be the humanoid form with all the customisation options as a neutral race that can play other classes.

And have Evoker be a class that transforms into a dragondude that flies around. But they can be any race, including Dracthyr. We don't need the horns and scales customisation for the class, 99% of dragons in WoW manifest as regular members of the race anyway, Chrome for example.

Obviously, the expectation is to make a Drac'thyr Evoker, like a Pandaren Monk, but other options are there.

I just cannot for the life of me imagine why they've done it the way they have...

Have they said outright that Dracthyr can only be a Blood Elf Male and Human Female? It could just be what has been previewed so far.

I hope they do end up expanding the customization race to all possible races, Ebonhorn being a Highmountain Tauren, Chromie being a Gnome, so many Night Elf Dragons, it only makes sense.

That way, technically every race could be an Evoker. Even if they all reverted to the Dragon form in combat.

Yeah, it's frustrating. It feels like the devs have listened in some areas - talent overhauls, lack of AP and borrowed power, etc

But when players talk about opening up class/race combos, or wanting to choose forms in combat (worgen/moonkin), they run the exact opposite direction of players feedback and create a locked down race/class.

I think the existing model is fine and that mock up has way to tiny of a head and way to bulky. Makes the whole thing look weird.

Funny I think the same about the current. The thin body and the small head just doesn't scream Dragon to me. WoW has always been cartoony and stylized but I just don't feel it in the current models.

Tuskarr are most likely coming either way. There's no reason they'd get updated models and female models if they weren't planning to use them imo. They even gave them small baby Tuskarrs:

I think playable tuskcar and vrykul are coming. Idk which would go to which, but I speculate Tusk for alliance and Vrykul for the horde.

They haven't said it, but the fact that they haven't said otherwise speaks volumes.

What I'm saying is they don't even need to add the customisation to other races. That's probably why the only visages you can do are Belf male/Fem human, because adding such comprehensive customisation options to every race would be heaps of work.


But like why can't I just be a regular old Tauren like Ebonhorn who takes the dragon form in combat worgen-style?

Well, the french interview apparently says it's one of the largest continents ever. I wonder if they counted EK/Kalimdor when they said that.

Probably not EK/Kalimdor, but if it comes close to Northrend in scale then it's a win in my books.

Probably, but Vrukul from legion were already almost player ready I belive. Those look great too. I wouldn't be surprised if they come, but also wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

Who knows according to that French interview we are getting Gal but the true enemy will become evident only later on. Maybe Azshara will come to claim the throne of elemental magic or to go back to ancient Kalmidor. She's still in the game and finally free of Nzoth.

Anything that is done to them won't make them a Dragon because they are way to humanoid. It seems deliberate though that they are both experiments and similar to Maloriak.

Well, there's definitely 63 talent points allocated in the picture. So unless they were in some sort of god mode where they could allocate as many as they want, there's at least 63.

I feel like its 65 right? You get talents at level 5 now instead of 10.

- The Primalists are closer to proto-drakes in appearance and I'm pretty sure at least one of the mount types for Dragon Riding was a proto-drake.

- No idea, they didn't mention anything about Vrykul in the preview. In fact, I feel like we didn't reslly get enough info on the denizens of the Dragon Isles. We heard about Tuskarr, centaurs, gnolls, and furbolgs... But surely there are other races native to the isles too, right?

- The Dragon Isles have been hidden for 10K years so I doubt it. The Dragonmaw came to Azeroth like 35 years ago in the canon so I doubt we'll see any on the isles. Might some of their remnants sail to the isles to try to recapture their glorious past of Red dragon enslavement? Maybe, but I doubt it.

- I don't think so but that would be cool.

- I hope so! That was actually one of the predictions I had on my bingo card. They mentioned that there might be some competition for Wrathion in terms of who leads the Black dragonflight, so we'll have to see who that is. Some said it was referring to Ebonhorn but I think Sabellian makes more sense.

- Don't think so. They felt like a fairly minor off-shoot that was native to the Broken Isles and therefore not super relevant to the overall lore of the dragons.

Agreed with you on all of the above. Blue and Green is great and Bronze feels good as part of heals though I would prefer DPS a la Chromie. Though Red as DPS makes no sense nor does the exclusion of Black as a spec based flight rather than just a base. I do think they should do a third- again Hunter proves it's possible.

On that note as they are ranged I'm curious what weapons they will wield. I will probably use them to solo old dungeons (another reason I wish they could be tanks) and the more they can equip the less change of me being annoyed I get a good BOP item that I can't unlock the TMog for lol.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say their weapons are more than likely just going to be stat sticks like Druids.

That would be cool too. Want them to do more with Azshara so it would be interesting. Heck an Infinite Expansion where we are fighting them in all of the most famous timezones would be amazing.

For the first season, it'll only have 4 (of the 8) dungeons from DF.

Next season, it'll have the other (remaining) 4 from DF.

Well yes, naturally, but for instance mages can equip swords technically, and hunters can equip all kinds of melee and ranged weapons. The more that Dracthyr can equip the more Tmogs they unlock for other classes.
