'Dragons as our current classes dont make sense'
except green dragon as ya know, druids, or red and blue dragons as mages
or red dragons as shamans, or bronze arcane mages
and why cant they be gnome or nightborne based but mixed with dragons
its just a poor idea

Lore is the same excuse we got for no easy covenant switching, no expanded race/class combos, no new class or race in Shadowlands, etc etc.
They should learn by now not to create limiting lore like that. I dunno.
At this point if it comes close to Pandaria in scale it's a win to me. My bar may as well be in the floor. I just don't want another BFA/Shadowlands.

Why do I feel like their conversation went the other way around? It wasn't "Dragons don't fit our other Classes" it was "Our other races don't fit Dragons" thus they invented Dracthyr and didn't think them through because it was just a vehicle to deliver Dragon Class.

tbh I think you can find something in like How To Train Your Dragon (whatever the number is)
but yeah, lots of wow devs do play FFXIV and I wouldn't be surprised if it was inspired by it, but the context is something else entirely
and that's it, people are claiming that there are a lot of things like Dragonflight is a copy of Heavensward, the use of "sundering" and "watchers" but those ones we know are bull****
So weird thing. Apparently that Watcher from the trailer is important because in, of all things, the alt code of the gif of him they posted on Twitter he's named.
