We've been talking about "ridiculous standards" when expecting something more than what we're getting with Dracthyr. Ridiculous is the word that matters here.

I'd say the common expectation for a single new race to also include a humanoid form with multiple customizations to make it look draconic based on every single other race already available is entirely ridiculous. The Dracthyr form itself seems to have a decent amount of customization and I think we have not seen much (just look at how different the snouts look). Yes a lot of people would prefer a bulky form but at the same time, this is a caster race.

Is it what I wanted? Not really. But I am not mad about it. Still seems to have more work than any other race ever added in game.

I love this argument of "This completely new race should look like this!" , just like this "valid criticism" about how the Dracthyr are bad (checked the last five pages and the only arguments were "SO THEY SAID THEY ARE REALLY CUSTOMIZABLE YET THERE ARE ONLY TWO FORMS!?!" and "THEY ARE TOO SKINNY!").

It's fine to not like something but do you not realize how stupid you look when you claim the race is "objectively bad" or "lazy"? What, you think your epic Mok'nathal or ogres would have not been lazy lmao? Or them copying the Drakonid like everyone wants them to wouldn't be peak lazyness?

Just admit you don't like them because they dont look manly enough and we can move on.

Oh I don't need to admit anything, I'll openly say it I don't want to play a slim androgynous scaly. But I guess there is a market for that. Now the blood elf form with a few reptile features looks both glam and fit so if they actually consider letting us play the class in both forms, i'll be on it.

Yeah, and that's fine. It wasn't really directed at you. I don't have a problem if people don't like the race, I have a problem with people saying that the race looks bad or is "lazy" or whatever.

And the thing is, if you just are open, its actually constructive. I think they already said in an interview they'd consider trying to let you play Evoker in visage form.

Problem is, people been using "lazy" for w/e they do not like. It's like they all know how the game development works, how much actual time and effort is required to make Dracthyr having other visages with all those customizations. Pretty amazing that we got such fumers regarding that one aspect of the expansion.

I mean, yeah, we know that there's a whole questchain regarding Lordaeron and Calia on the PTR, it's just with Blizzards new encryption and policy towards datamining, all we will get are scraps like that.

The visage form absolutely is buffed up so the Dracthyr themselves don't agree with you. Just saying.

In their visage form, yeah. Their propper dragon form is gender neutral which is awesome and makes sense because you know, all the other dragons ingame also don't have obvious differences between male and female ones. Honestly, it feels more like some people are afraid of the potential of creating a positive image for gender neutral / non-binary people lol.

Not to mention the aspects whose dragon forms are not particularly sexualized all turning into underwear models. Remember in Cata when we got the Nozdormu elf form and the meme was that he looked like Mark Wahlberg's CK underwear campaign? Alex that looked like she escaped from Hutt's slave harem?

Well its one sorta big to another big. Having a middle ground of looking "buff" but not super buff that sometimes Humans come off as.
