I mean wowhead had an article about that, season 4 is still 4-5 months away. Season 4 will supposedly be a little shorter than the usual season, resulting in Dragonflight launching in 10-11 months.

The important part of 9.2.5 is not the content anyway. It's cross faction. I really wonder if they managed to get any testing done on it through the PTR.

I almost wonder if that is the reason they just flatly removed the ability to have cross-faction grouping for raids with even the mildest of faction specific stuff like ICC. Probably much easier to have it work when you don't ever have to consider those raids.

Oh those are probably super complex. Entirely possible the raid has faction tags all over the place.

I doubt it's actually all that hard. Main problem should be figuring out how you want to do it, not so much the technical side.

So it isn't about how you flag the raidgroup as horde/alliance, but whether you do and how that is decided.

Its seems like testing hasn't even begun on some parts of 9.2.5, but theres nothing stopping the last patch of an expansion & an expansion alpha from being tested at the same time, in fact this usually happens.

Will you provide some example or will argue about facts again? Because SL public testing started after 8.3 (8.3.7 wasn't even minor content patch, it changed some technical stuff in preparation for SL and launched ~2.5 months before pre-patch), BfA after 7.3.5, Legion after 6.2.3, WoD after 5.4.7, MoP after 4.3.3.

I was thinking the exact same thing. xD I cannot remember when there was ever an alpha alongside the PTR for the last patch of an expansion. But, you know, the internet...alternative facts, everyone is allowed to spew misinformation as fast as they can.

Yeah I don't see the alpha going up before the PTR goes down. And I have to admit I am not following the PTR that much, what has been tested so far? I haven't seen anything about them actually testing the affix, the retuned M+ dungeons (the WoD ones were never even M+) or the Fated mechanics. All those would need testing (and that is probably the only time they may get some actual testing on cross faction).

8.3.7 did have a ptr, when the Shadowlands alpha was already going on. ("not even a minor content patch" wtf. "More minor than minor" oh okay sure)

Sorry the fact that they have had ptr testing different versions while the alpha was happening has gotten in the way of you wanting me to be wrong.

Sure, you're right like always. That patch tested 3 months before SL pre-patch and 6 months after last BfA content patch:
