We knew about all of those at the reveal, except maybe the profession "revamp" if you could call it that.

We didn't know about World Quests or Mythic+, just vague "we will do something to make it relevant". Also no profession (this I don't remember 100%) and for sure no word about new transmog system.

Both reveals lasted 1 hour, in Legion we didn't have talk about Classic, but there was live audience that always fill some time. Biggest difference is that DF focused on zones and systems, had CGI trailer, while Legion focused more on story and smaller bits - here few DH spells, here few artifact weapons, etc.

They were not in the Feature Trailer, and I just flipped through all of the Reveal stream and there's nothing there either.

Hell, I know world quests atleast were not revealed back then, because I made a post about them in early 2016 when they first started testing them (Reveal was 2015) being very confused. Those comments would not be like that if we already knew about them

Companies are not trying to be diverse and inclusive, they’re just trying to look good so they can continue doing what they want to do while making lots of money. Unfortunately it’s (almost)never actually in good faith

Yeah, it's pretty much laughable that people really think any company gives a damn about all of the bs they spew during Pride month. It's ridiculous and the worst kind of behavior, because it's fake and rotten from the core as proven time and time again by their actions in non western countries during that time.

No, it really wasn't. People wouldn't rate Legion as the best or one of the best expansions then.

WoD, that was terrible nostalgia-baiting. And it's next to BfA, Shadowlands and to an extent Cataclysm the most disliked expansion ever, whereas Legion is always Top 2 in the polls, competing with WotLK for the top spot.

WoD's issues weren't the "LOOK ORC WARLORDS REMEMBER?" nostalgia as he claims but meh.....Nyel is nyel. We should note that is when we got new character models which was a big highlight of the expansion.

WoD really had that "back to the roots" vibe, it isn't just Warcraft II but Warcraft in general. It was welcomed by community right after MoP.

But sure, Blizz is only the evil company, they don't have diverse employees with diverse interests, who finally want some representation. Don't let your ideal world be destroyed by things like common sense.

Uhm, yes? For Warcraft in general, some TBC-vibes, oh and right at the time the Warcraft movie that was all about Orcs was released as well... WoD was the biggest nostalgia-bait they did yet. And there are hundreds, thousands of topics about this and how WoD was basically just 100% fanservice with its theme, the revival of the now-so-called Warlords (all those famous Orc leaders, you know?) and stuff.

I think it's also that the very structure of Legion lent to more speculation. We spent months discussing possible artifacts for each spec or who could be showing up during the xpac. It's not that they gave us that much more information, it is just the structure of what was shown worked well to built speculation on.

I really fail to see how people can claim that DF will be light on content when we actually know as good as nothing about the expac. It's the same doom and gloom cycle we have every expac.

It is because the parts left out, because of out cry by the community, added a large amount of content to the game. Legion and Shadowlands borrowed power added a large amount of content to support it. Does that mean that content will be automatically less? No. It does mean that we will have to have more basic forms of content in order to have similar levels. Even the mission table is going away so we won't have the small extras that has provided over the years.

Think about how Legion would have been if Order halls and Artifacts didn't exist. Would it still have been a decent expansion? Sure. Would it have lost a large chunk of content? Yep. So Dragonflight does have some gaps in content to fill. Dragon Riding could fill that depending on how much the flesh the system out.

Now that you've said it, the speculation about which spec gets which artifact weapon was insane and super entertaining.

I confused the two since I think of how my amazon prime sub gives me a free twitch sub and I see the prime gaming reward stuff on my twitch dashboard. Yeah prime gaming.
