In terms of what I don't want/want to see, the main thing I would "prefer" to see a lot less this time around is the zones/story (in terms of spoilers); I understand that it's probably impossible to NOT show any of it. Then again, I never "truly" spoil the story for a new expansion from the alpha/beta anyway. I watch some stuff but keep it light enough where I'm not spoiled.
I'm betting we'll still get datamined stuff but it might be different to what we're used to if 9.2 and 9.2.5 is anything to go by.

I want to see more Dragon-riding!
I get that you're being facetious, but the difference between encrypting the entire thing is that being a technological investment of porting over what they already do for Overwatch (which shares the same filesystem tech as WoW) vs. hiring hundreds of QA people to replace public testing entirely. Not that comparable.
Same, but to be clear, I don't actually expect them to do that as it is only useful for pre-release and might just cause issues down the line.
tick-tock tick-tock. I bet if anything does come out today it won't be until around 4 Pacific time.
I don't "realistically" see the alpha just starting/going LIVE. It'll be similar to BFA/Shadowlands where it is announced beforehand (a few days before goes LIVE).
European time is 9 hours ahead of Pacific time, so just count backwards by 9.

See you guys next week
Jesus. Saw a dragonflight post on WoWhead and it’s the Blood DK class writer whining about their spec.
inb4 no beta and they are going just give us dragonflight. How crazy would that be.
TBH - they should give us talents ASAP on the PTR. Everyone should be testing the new talents.

I've noticed over the past year or so that WoWhead has turned to quantity over quality. Several of their posts contain false information or information that was changed from PTR testing but still published as live guides. I don't know if it has to do with the Fanbyte purchase/merger or just a heavier push to increase revenue by driving clicks. I don't really blame them but I wish they would have better standards for what is published.

You know a community is bad when moderators lock a thread because "...this isnt the place to talk about it either seeing as it will get trolled..."
Because they haven't had anything else to talk about. If this were a normal content cycle we'd have had the DF reveal in 2021 and they'd be covering the Alpha by now. But they need content to cover to function & the increasingly secretive nature of corporate culture has forced wowhead to be more & more thinly spread. This is what I've been talking about this whole time.
